The abuse generally leaves the animal permanently maimed or physically disabled and emotionally scarred.
Baron the Rottweiler‘s story is one of heartbreak, hope, and healing and love conquering evil.
As originally reported by the Detroit Free Press: An adorable Rottweiler mix from Detroit, Michigan is recovering from a brutal attack that saw someone cut off his ears and nose.
It’s unclear what exactly happened to the dog, named Baron, but the Michigan Humane Society says it looks like a dangerous human was involved.
In a video posted to their official Facebook page, the society says Baron was found wandering in West Detroit last week when someone coaxed him into a local business.
The society then picked him up and have been treating his injuries.
In addition to the damage on his ears and nose, there were injuries on the backs of his legs.
The medical staff will soon have to amputate his tail because of the extent of damage inflicted on it, reported the Detroit Free Press.
On a more positive note, specialists may be able perform reconstructive surgery on his nose.

Charlie here. That looks like a Pit bull. A very dangerous animal! Why, today it was just reported two of them mauled an old lady to death. The other day another mauled a child to death. Many more people have been killed and maimed by them, skewering statistics that they are “safe” animals.
A report came out awhile back that the No. 1 cause to be in a ER are DOG BITES!! I think the doctor interviewed said they number in the hundreds during the year. Am I against dogs? No, they should not be mistreated, as of any animal, and sure, they can be a loyal companion, but one should keep a healthy perspective on the temperament of this dog and most dogs.
One should keep a perspective and I don’t know the point of this story.

I do believe this animal belonged to Bill “teen penetrator” Clinton and Hitlery “we came, we saw, he died” his so-called wife. Everything they do and touch they destroy. Haven’t these two been hung for treason yet? How many Americans are permitted to sell uranium to Russia and top secret information to both Russia and China and… Murder a U.S. diplomat in Benghazi while smuggling guns into the Middle East? Even a libtard can comprehend this “treason” against America, right?
Not taking away from the seriousness of this story, but maybe this was Bill and Hitlery’s dog and he heard too much and stuck his nose into their ‘crime closet’.
