Life in the Rainforest

More than 50% of the species of plants and animals of the whole world living on the land are from the rainforest. Surprisingly, the rainforest covers only 6 – 7% of the total land surface of the world. So, there are 20 to 80 various species of trees per acre of the rainforest. There is a wide variety of amazing rainforest animals. Many of these animals have an exceptional power of adaptation to living in tropical conditions, but they cannot survive outside of this tropical ecosystem.

Sadly, our ruthless activities have already devastated much of the world’s rainforest. The actions including, deforestation for woodcutting, raising crops or constructing farms, and civil establishments have much influence on the fantastic rainforest animals and plants. With the increase in population, the amount of deforestation in the rainforests may also extend to rise. We are invariably losing many species of plants and animals living in the rainforests due to our fierce activities. For our purpose, we are endangering the lives of many fantastic rainforest animals and plants. If this continues, that day is not far when we will jeopardize our own lives.
