The huge, blustering ‘Kush’ rekindles the wildness of their best improvising; ‘Imaginary Situations’ is a ghostly collective sketch; ‘Whatever Happens’ catches Bowie at his melancholy best, while Mitchell’s title-piece is a fine tribute to the group’s survivalist spirit.
A valuable and welcome document that might called a comeback.”
