Freedaddyrich releases official self-titled album '#Freedaddyrich'

#Freedaddyrich is a wrongfully convicted man making music to bring awareness to his wrongful conviction. To this end, the songwriter and producer of rap and hip hop known as Freedaddyrich has released his new self-titled album, “#Freedaddyrich.”

His mission statement, “I make music for My Freedom,” is a literal statement, as all proceeds go to his campaign for freedom.

The album contains 13 original Freedaddyrich tracks for an approximate total listening time of a full hour. It has been proudly published as an independent release without the involvement of the corporate music industry on the 25th Century Entertainment record label. Spotlighting powerful urban poetry laid atop unique instrumentation, “#Freedaddyrich” showcases Freedaddyrich as one of the most intriguing rap and hip hop artists of the year so far and promises that he has plenty more where that came from.

Asked to cite a few main artistic influences, Freedaddyrich merely notes: “I don’t have a favorite artistic influence. But I’ve found inspiration through artists of all musical genres.”

Freedaddyrich’s own sound takes elements from each of these and adds something fresh and unique for a result unlike anything today’s music fans have heard before.

Asked to describe the overall meaning of “#Freedaddyrich,” Freedaddyrich writes, “My album is about Freedom, and standing up and speaking out against injustices. It’s also a celebration of hip-hop and the art of good story telling using extraordinary lyrics and superb production.”

I’ve been an artist and musician since I was about eight years old. Music was so prevalent in my household growing up that it was inevitable for me to end up picking up a microphone or an instrument.
