Josh One releases new single 'Sacrifice' w/ Demetrius Rhymes & Aloe Blacc

The songwriter and producer of hip-hop music known as Josh One has released his latest official single, “Sacrifice.” It has been proudly published as an independent release without the involvement of the corporate music industry on the Boomnote Music record label. Sharply clever, socially aware, and backed by undeniable back beats, “Sacrifice” once again proves Josh One to be a legitimate legend of mixology and showcases Demetrius Rhymes and Aloe Blacc as two heavy-hitting masters of the mic.

Long Beach’s Josh One cites as main artistic influences Dr. Dre, A Tribe Called Quest, Portishead, the Beatles, and Sade. Asked to describe the context of “Sacrifice,” Josh One writes, “To kickstart a new album and revamp my [Boomnote] label. I wanted to make a big song that has my good friend and frequent collaborator Demetrius tell a real story that is uplifting to anyone going for their dreams. I’ve known Aloe for 20+ years and he wrote a hook to tie it all in, and he just made it all come together.”
