1996 Hubble’s 1st Deep Field images, ( 10 days exposure ) over 3,000 galaxies

Every single spot, smear, and dot is an entire galaxy – each galaxy contains hundreds of billions of stars

They did it again in 2004 ( 11 days and 400 orbits around earth ), over 10,000 galaxies

Hubble’s 2nd look called Ultra-Deep Field image - farthest we have ever seen into space

These images put into 3D model to make an Ultra-deep field video

I’ve recently discovered an animation that was rendered using the

measured red-shift of all 10,000 galaxies in the Hubble Ultra Deep Field image.

I’ve written a short script that leads you through a quick history of both deep field images

and this video ends with a fly-through of the Ultra Deep Field.

Every galaxy in the image is in its proper distance

as viewed

from the Hubble Telescope line of sight.

Every single spot, smear, and dot is an entire galaxy – each galaxy contains hundreds of billions of stars
