The Rise of the Constitutional Militia - Part I

In recent years the United States of America has seen a rise in the forming of constitutional militia groups. Constitutional Militias are groups of law abiding citizens that form together in the support and protection of public freedoms in the United States and the United States Constitution as a whole. The militia members that form these groups, and usually do so voluntarily, are generally comprised of ordinary everyday folks from all walks of life.

Constitutional Militias are primarily composed of U.S. military honorably discharged veterans, active or retired law enforcement personnel and a slew of other citizens with military or related type backgrounds. The individuals who participate in Constitutional Militia affairs or gatherings are generally well educated and have been trained in various field type disciplines with whom they diligently aspire to conduct themselves with only the highest degree of integrity and do so only in a law abiding manner.

However, there are those current members of our U.S. government whom would wish to have the general populace believe otherwise. There are those individuals and departments currently within our very own United States Government that have been continually publically branding these loyal and patriotic citizens as radical extremists, conspirators, virulently anti-government instigators and radical domestic terrorists. It would seem that the only reason that the U.S. Government has awarded the mass branding of these law abiding patriots with such negative propaganda is specifically because some patriots have dared to expose and/or question our current government authorities regarding illegal government activities, office holder abuses or procedural and constitutional violations.

It is in this light that one must ask as to why there has been such an increase of citizen participation in Constitutional Militias. As history has shown time and again, a citizenry or general populace militia usually initiates and takes rise only when the citizens may have become threatened by attack, general catastrophe or are directly affected by governmental afflicted tyrannies and/or atrocities. Governmental atrocities/tyrannies may include: executions, attacks on the populace, abuse of power, unjust martial laws, removal of citizen’s rights, illegal detention of citizens, illegal monitoring of citizens, outrageous government abuses, government infringement of the media and free speech, illegal taxation and government departments admittedly single out organizations for illegal purposes or monitoring. These are only a few areas of defined government tyranny but as some might have a case to argue is that our current government has indeed applied every single one of these illegal acts upon its citizens as recently as just in the past few years. So solely, and with only these few examples in mind, it then becomes quite clear and logical as to why we are seeing a rise in frustration with our government and the growing numbers of constitutional militia members.

“A well-regulated militia!” If we argue that only the military and police should be armed with firearms then it would be solely up to the military or police to provide its citizens and country with protection from both domestic or foreign harm and tyranny. This looks beautiful if you happen to be living in a perfect fairy world that is free from corruption and greed. Unfortunately this ideology is illogical and unwise if we are to learn anything from our past. To blindly assume that any country and its supreme leader(s) will always look out for its citizens first and foremost without question is ludicrous at best. Greed and corruption of government has always been a key factor which has been blatantly present since the beginning of recorded history.

Governments and its leaders are fallible and always have been. As such, it is usually the governments that have full autonomous control of its military’s and enforcement agencies. So, without the arming of the general populace and militias, an unarmed populace then inherently becomes the proverbial sheep to the slaughter. So based upon this fallible nature of government it then becomes obvious and without any shadow of a doubt that the U.S. 2^nd Amendment was clearly meant for the individual people/populace to keep and bare arms in order to fully protect itself from its own tyrannical government and/or leadership. There is only one reason for any government to argue otherwise and that would only be in direct preparation to overcome its populace to forcefully embrace an oppressive form of rule.

History and these undeniable facts speak for themselves. Based upon the current directions with which the U.S. is headed, I can fully understand why we are seeing such an increase of patriotic support for Constitutional Militias.

U.S. Senator Harry Reid (D) has recently publically accused any or all people who support the constitution, freedom and patriotism to the United States as domestic terrorists. On the other hand, did we just witness Senator Reid admit the Obama Administration does not believe in the constitution or freedom? So then by Harry Reid’s own admission this current administration has clearly announced publically that the Obama Administration strongly opposes all free patriots. The opposite of patriotism then only leads to one other belief and that is social communism and monarchy.

After further evaluation and reflection of these facts, how could one not logically or whole heartedly see any reason why some citizens would not support such unselfish patriotism toward the U.S. constitution and American freedom? The only other possible alternative to patriotism that Obama offers and supports then is socialist communism. It seems to be quite understandable and clear that the people have become fearful of their current government and are ipso facto seeking others of likeminded free values. In essence then, the current rise of the Constitutional Militias in the U.S. today is a no brainer. Liberty or socialism? You decide for yourself which type of nation you would like to see your children be brought up in.
