Neo is obviously the freed prisoner. Christ consciousness and Buddhahood too depicts the freed mind, the ultimate transcendent, the freed prisoner archetypally, both attempting to inspire the world to become authentic, to undo the fetters of the mind they put on themselves and those that tied them up like some institutionalized cogs or battery in the machine.

The Wachowski Brothers released The Matrix in 1999. The brothers became sisters, one in 2012 and then later the other in 2016. They then went on to state that The Matrix was always about transitioning from male to female.

Now, for such a philosophically deep movie that relates some of the oldest metaphysical ideas with some of the newest paradigm technology and its effects on the individual and collective psyche, to be actually a story about coming out as a sexual transitioning human accomplished instead of internal consciousness shifts might diminish the internal consciousness transcendence pursuits and might legitimize the external transition pursuits specifically to that of the lowest topic matter, that of Gender and Sex. It is an important topic but it is the lowest most basic layer of the human psyche. Perhaps most easily understood via the chakra layering system. Below is a depiction of the chakra layers of our psyche and the Hermetic tenet in correspondence which reveals best what I mean by lowest and most basic.

Nowadays, Wachowshi Sisters aside, everything is flipped upside down to where primal, material, sexual pursuits are the most important and/or only pursuits. Nowadays, among the majority of the collective to belittle metaphysics, spirituality, and the mindful pursuit of transcendence than it is to question the topic of gender transition.

The strangeness of the diminishing of The Matrix from an allegory of our internal consciousness and the external technological world’s hold on our consciousness and limiting it to a story of gender transition begins to be more interesting when combined with the story of Sophia Stewart.

Sophia Stewart accused The Wachowski Sisters of copyright infringement pertaining to her script which she has come to reveal on a few interviews is a story of Christ consciousness reborn in a technological world and the intention of the mechanized evil of the world to kill The Christ consciousness and that her script included the narration of The Matrix and The Terminator as one cohesive story of the machines trying to destroy humanity and most especially the transcendent consciousness of humanity.

The extent of the case and its course is mixed in with the typical superfluousness of the internet one might expect of such a topic, however the idea that The Matrix and The Terminator are a part of the same story pertaining to transcendent consciousness is wildly intriguing. Perhaps one reason the Wachowski Sisters summarized The Matrix as a story of gender transition instead of transcendence is to diminish that idea? Transition of Gender may alleviate some however this is still thinking and being in the Root Chakra, in correspondence with The Gender Tenet. It is still the most primal and basic layer of our psyche. Associative refinement of consciousness, transcendence above gender not necessarily transition from one Gender to another would break the fetters of normal social/cultural constraints without external dissociation that would require surgical and pharmaceutical support for gender transition.

The flipping of The Matrix allegory of consciousness transcendence into an allegory of gender transition is akin to many similar upside down turns which parallel or drive the shift that degrades the import of highminded subjects and raises the import of basic materialistic feud-and-fornicate impulsiveness. The alchemical pursuits sought to fuse the masculine and feminine of the mind, of or thinking and being so that we were not stuck in societal fetters, the hermaphroditic allegories of the alchemical marriage were to unify and transcend with Hermetics, with consciousness enhancement. If The Wachowski Sisters are likely not part of the trend to laugh at transcendent Hermetics and promote Gender transition, but they certainly reflect it.

Transcendence definitely requires we be comfortable in our skin suit. We are all born in a mortal coil in a realm of intense gravity and if we are to be anything but basic, we must be comfortable in our own skin suit. No pressure if you are not, understand we all variously are uncomfortable and unwell in various way, and we are most all awkward and imperfect. If transitioning into anything from anything requires surgical and pharmaceutical dependence I would seriously question the reasoning for such pursuit. Is it materialistic? Transcendence should be a shared pursuit promoted by everyone and not mocked, why is it acceptable to laugh at spirituality and not dissociative materialism? There ought to be no chastisement for gender transitioning just as there ought to be none for the pursuit of transcendence.

To suggest that The Matrix is about gender transition and not consciousness transcendence is strange as is the whole saga of The Matrix. Just as problems are not solved by making hard lefts or hard rights, just as we are all made up of certain combinations and balances of masculine and feminine and survive and rise by way of interdependence, we find the best solution by transcending above, not necessarily transition from one to the other. Transcendence requires applying the lower energies and lower attention into higher energy and higher attention.
