Your Spiritual Mother: Why All Christians Should Remember Her On Mothers Day (Video)
Mothers day a a nice holiday. We all needed a mother to get here and most of us were/are loved, protected and prayed for by our mother. Yet there is another Mother that all Christians should be remembering on Mother’s Day.
The life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ was facilitated by Mary. Therefore Mary is the “Theotokos” that is, the mother of God. It was her obedience at great risk that brought Christ into the world. The early Christian Church spent a lot of time sorting Mary’s role, qualitities and significance. When one is the “Mother of God” some unbelievable theological questions come about like “her being the temporary temple of God” or “Her essence being with God in her”. It was just such questions that left the Christians of the Middle Ages coming to the conclcusion that Mary was the “New Eve”. All Christians should ponder these counterpoints:
1-Eve disobeys and Mary obeys (God)
2-Eve brings death and Mary brings a new salvation life.
3-Eve’s son kills and Mary’s raises the dead and brings life.
Catholics and Orthodox Christians understand this. I would like to invite my Protestant brothers and sisters not to be upset or debate any Church theological positions on Mary but simply to remember her risk, role and position in the Salvation story. The simple facts above are all you really need to know to appreciate your Spiritual Mother that ” All generations will call blessed”.
Mary is not above Jesus and or competing with him-she is simple a woman whose obedience started the greatest story every told. She also asked Jesus for a miracle and received it. See her for who she is and appreciate her role as a wonderful member of your Christian family that resides in heaven.Please give her at least a thought of appreciation on mothers day!

Mary is dead.
Exodus 20:4-6, “Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.”
“Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them,: ..this is the key phrase!
The ancient Hebrews were instructed to build a Temple and that them had religious images on the Ark which they were instructed to make:

22 There, above the cover between the two cherubim that are over the ark of the covenant law, I will meet with you and give you all my commands for the Israelites.
Religious image is NOT forbidden-its worshiping the images that is forbidden!

Catholics do not worship Mary — we venerate her as the true Ark of the Covenant, since she carried THE Word of God within her. She is the Woman of Genesis, the human Satan hates above all other humans because of her Fiat to God. It is through her Son, that she will crush the head of the serpent. And above all, if Christ loves her, shouldn’t we? If we ask one another for prayer here on earth, doesn’t it stand to reason that asking Our Blessed Mother to pray for us to her Son would be even more efficacious? The question is not why do we venerate her — but why you do not. And if you think looking at a statue is idol worship, then I would get rid of all the photos you have of friends, loved ones, etc. That’s just ignorant. God bless you with a healthy intellect and the courage to do His will once you get it.

Why would we ask Mary to pray for us given what the word says on the matter? For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; – 1 Timothy 2:5.
Only by describing the Apostles as lesser and subordinate mediators is it possible to find any support for this position however, typically, Catholic’s have it backwards and their sleight is 180 Degrees diametrically opposed to what is written that we should know.
The very definition of apostle, according to Thayer’s Greek-English Lexicon of the New Testament, is “a delegate, messenger, one sent forth with orders.
Clearly, then, the Apostles bring messages from God, to us, whereas intercession is getting between our prayers and God which cannot be the same thing given the path and direction of the exchange.
