1. The Japanese Slide House

Have you ever tried sliding down a staircase? One Japanese designer took it one step further by creating a house filled with slides.

The Japanese slide house is a three-story building with stairs and corridors on one side and a slide on the other.

2. The German Upside-Down House

An upside-down house in Germany creates the illusion of defying gravity.

Everything is turned on its head, with furniture, sinks, toilets, and TVs mounted on the ceiling while lights are fitted to the floor.

3. Oregon’s Airplane House

In 1999, an engineer named Bruce Campbell upcycled a Boeing 727 by turning it into his home.

Instead of turning the plane into scrap metal, he made it his own living space. He’s installed a shower, refurbished the toilet, and stripped out the seating to make space for his own furniture.

4. Mr. Toilet House in South Korea

Sim Jaedeok, otherwise known as ‘Mr. Toilet’, built this strange house in 2007 as a bizarre celebration of the formation of the World Toilet Association.

The whole building is shaped like a giant toilet, and the theme continues throughout the structure. There’s even a golden poop statue outside!

5. Alaska’s Dr. Suess House

This whimsical building was constructed in the middle of a forest in Alaska.

It consists of ten houses built on top of each other, each one smaller than the last.

6. The Cloud House in Melbourne

This is one of the most modern house designs on our list. It’s shaped just like a cloud, with roofing and walls curved into adjoining semi-circles.

7. The Seashell House in Mexico City

This is the skinniest house in the world, and it’s just 122cm wide. It was built to take up a small amount of space between two other buildings.

One man in Houston has decorated his house with more than 50,000 beer cans.

The cans have been placed on every part of the house imaginable, set into concrete, metal, and even marble.

10. The Flintstone House in California

This house makes you feel like you’re living in the town of Bedrock.

Every single part of this house seems to be made of stone, giving it a prehistoric appearance.
