Ideally, you’ll be able to benefit from large windows and have desks facing the light. (Make sure to incorporate quality blinds so sun glare doesn’t put your employees off in summer!)

But, if you don’t have access to windows, invest in lights which aren’t stark but natural. You should also buy cool light fixtures to add some personality.

4. Comfy Seating Is Cool

There’s nothing worse than being uncomfortable while you work. Google has a pretty cool solution to this which also helps boost creativity–massage chairs!

You don’t necessarily need to invest in massage chairs for all of your employees, but really comfortable desk chairs will be very much appreciated.

If you’re going for a chilled out, cool vibe in your office, you may also want to consider buying bean bags!

5. Add Some Greenery, Art or Trinkets

If you’re renting space and can’t paint any walls or afford to buy all of your employees new chairs, why not use art or plants to liven up the space?

Plants have been proven to lift people’s moods. You could even encourage employees to bring their own plants and decorations.

Why not add trinkets and find cool things to put on your desk? Make sure to bring things which will make you smile and brighten up your day.
