1. Used Celebrity Pregnancy Test

Purchasing a pregnancy test comes with a bunch of other questions and potential responsibilities. The only question we can think to ask of this purchase is: why?

An online casino bought a used pregnancy test for $5,001. The celebrity in question is Britney Spears after she’d tested positive back in 2005. We can’t think of a reason anyone needs a used test, but it could be that the casino is a huge fan of her work.

We hope so, anyway.

2. An Imaginary Friend

We all need a friend at our side sometimes. But what if that friend was imaginary?

On eBay, someone bought a seller’s imaginary friend for almost $3,000, after the seller decided he had outgrown his friend. The buyer wasn’t alone. By the end of the auction, there were 31 bids of people trying to spend money on the intangible and imaginary friend.

3. A Window

If you’re wanting to renovate your home, look elsewhere for reasonable prices. This next purchase won’t be showing up on any money management tips lists any time soon.

A mystery person paid $3 million to own the framed glass window that was the site where Lee Harvey Oswald is said to have shot JFK. History lovers might be jealous (or a little weirded out) by that one.

When you’re a rich celebrity, paying $650 per wallpaper panel doesn’t seem like that crazy. In our minds, it’s outrageous.

In total, Gwyneth Paltrow spent an estimated $12,000 per room for only the wallpaper.

5. Half-Eaten Toast

Ever wanted to own Justin Timberlake’s half-eaten French Toast? One 19-year-old woman certainly did.

She paid $1,025 in an auction for the honor of owning the celebrity’s unfinished breakfast. That’s one expensive piece of toast!

6. Plane Ticket for a Hat

Have you ever loved a hat so much, you’d be willing to pay $1,600 to get it a first class ticket?

That’s what Bono from U2 did when he realized he’d forgotten his hat before an Italian concert. He wanted it so badly, he spent a lot of money to get it back as soon as possible.

7. 15,000 Pounds of Salt

Earthquakes and radiation poisoning is no joke. When a man in Japan heard that salt could prevent poisoning, an earthquake caused him to buy over $4,000 worth of iodized salt in preparation.

The crazy part is that salt does nothing at all against radiation. At least he’ll be set for life when it comes to seasoning his food.
