1. Weird Crime News Stories: Man Plays Dressup With a Corpse to Fake Death

How far would you go for $2 million dollars? Apparently a Moldovan couple from Twin Cities, Minnesota would go as far as to dress up a corpse.

Igor Vrotinov and wife Irina Vorotinov used an unknown corpse and dressed it up to look like Igor. They pulled off the stunt over in Moldova. Irina identified the corpse, had it cremated and took it back to the states where she placed it in a mausoleum. 

And then she cashed in on the insurance. 

It was the perfect crime until it wasn’t. Igor, who stayed in Moldova, got arrested on a charge of mail fraud. The game was over. 

Igor now awaits trial at Sherburn County Jail.

2. A Man Sits in a Grease Vent For Two Days

You would think the logical place to enter a secure facility would be the roof. We see superheroes do it all the time. But life doesn’t always play out like the movies.

This is especially true for a 29-year-old who wanted some free Chinese…or maybe he just didn’t like his last fortune cookie? His plan went quickly down a slippery slope however when he discovered that the vent turned at a 90-degree angle.

He had taken his clothes off to easier fit through the vent. This could have been a fatal flaw in his plan. With no friction and covered in grease, the man couldn’t either pull himself back out or navigate the tight corner. 

Realizing he was in a tight spot, the greasy criminal called for help. Fortunately, two days later someone heard him and called 911. It’s easy to imagine what might have happened if nobody had heard him. 

3. Man Stabs Burrito Assailant

Domestic violence is no laughing matter. But sometimes you can’t help but chuckle at some of the things couples do when they’re angry.

Florida couple Suzanne Hulver and Carl Smith are one of the goofiest of them all. What do you do when you’re angry with someone? How about hit them over the head with your Taco Bell Burrito Supreme? 

How did Carl respond? By stabbing Suzanne in the hand with a fork. Smith was charged with aggravated battery and Hulver with second-degree domestic-violence-related battery.
