2. Container City

Thinking about hopping across the pond? The bright colors and containers of the Container City Building may be your next stop in London. This building isn’t simply art and science, it’s sustainable too. 80% of the building was constructed out of recycled shipping containers and other recycled materials.

3. Contemporary Art

Straight out of Star Wars, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Rio de Janeiro is as weird as they get. The building literally looks like a flying saucer.

Art lovers, we’ve got something for you too. The Cube Houses in Rotterdam looks like something out of Wizard of Oz. They have a unique symmetric design, bright colors, and triangle tops.

The towers are not only architectural and engineering miracles, but they also produce energy for themselves and other buildings with up to 79 wind turbines. They are a true power plant in real-time.  

7. National Theatre

China does it again. The national theatre in Beijing, China emerges like an island in the middle of a lake. During the day, light flows through the glass roof into the building. At night, the movements within can be seen from outside.
