This is from early April, but we just stumbled across it, and it is excellent. Chris Hedges is a socialist to the left of Bernie Sanders, but what he and his guest Ben Norton explain about Venezuela could not be more true. Highly recommended. 

I had the pleasure of joining Chris Hedges to discuss the US war on Venezuela. Corporate media reporting on the country has been ridiculous propaganda. The US is brutally collectively punishing Venezuela’s population with devastating sanctions — and Donald Trump’s coup is still failing.

The laughable failure of the US-backed military coup attempt on April 30 reinforces the points I made in this interview: Chavismo is deeply rooted, the opposition is unpopular, and Washington’s only effective tactic is crippling economic war.
