'Human and Divine, Together Walk the Earth'
NEW YORKRenowned tenor Guan Guimin performed the song “Chakravartin” at the Holiday Wonders show in New York City organized by New Tang Dynasty Television (NTDTV). Mr. Guan shared his feelings about writing and performing this song with The Epoch Times.
Mr. Guan explained that he drew inspiration from his personal experiences to write the lyrics of “Chakravartin”. Before he practiced Falun Gong, he had studied many Buddhist Scriptures.
“At that time, I did not truly understand many things mentioned in the Buddhist Scriptures, and I only studied them as ordinary knowledge or concepts. But after practicing Falun Gong, not only was a disease I had for many years gone-as I was elevating in my rational and practical understandings of cultivation I found many legends from the past are actually real, including those documented in the Buddhist Scriptures.”
Guan also said, “The Buddhist Scripture recorded that in a lecture, Sakyamuni mentioned Chakravartin, and said that only when Chakravartin imparts higher teaching could people cultivate to consummation without having to leave ordinary human society.” 1
Guan added that the Buddhist Scripture also documented a kind of miraculous flowerthe Udumbara. It says, “Udumbara is the product of ominous and supernatural phenomena; it is a celestial flower and does not exist in the mundane world. If a Tathagata or King of the Golden Wheel appears in the human world, this flower will manifest due to his great virtue and blessings.”
The Buddhist Scripture also stated that the Udumbara flower only blossoms once every 3,000 years, signifying the arrival of Chakravartin or the King of the Golden Wheel to human world to rectify the law.
Since 2005, a kind of small white flowers has been found blooming in many Buddhist temples in South Korea in succession. Many Buddhists monks and followers believed they are Udumbara.
In the past two years, Udumbara flowers were found in Australia, Taiwan and Mainland China. During this year’s Holiday Wonders, Udumbara was also found near the famous George Washington Bridge in NYC.
Guan said, “I believe what was said in the Buddhist Scriptures is true. The Udumbara that appeared in many temples in South Korea and around the world shows that Chakravartin, as documented in the Buddhist Scriptures, is now rectifying the law in human world. The prophecies made in the past are being realized today. The Book of Revelations also mentioned a similar King of all Kings, so I was inspired to create this song to share my understanding with the audience.”
“I know humans and the divine are walking together in today’s world,” said Guan. “But too many false illusions are blinding people from the truths. So I sincerely hope that people can see the truth and find the significance of life. Just as the lyrics had said, ‘can you not hear that higher voice calling out: what’s once in a lifetime comes not again’. These are all words from the bottom of my heart.”
Guan has sung this song in every show of Holiday Wonders this year. Feedback from the audience showed that many people were touched to the core, and many people were even moved to tears.
Guan said, “I hope to inspire people to think about this: where does life come from? Where is it heading? What is the true significance of life?”
[1] This is different from the normal religious practice whereby believers leave society to become monks in order to reach consummation

HEH
How cute.
I do love pretty flowers.
But not as much as I love Human souls.
I hold that humans are of the divine. But the gift of Free Will allows for all manor of stupidity.
I pray that humans realize, wake to see with their hearts, the divinity that breaths all life.
