It’s more than obvious that it doesn’t come to your mind, that you are describing a much more developed civilizations – species as we are. Unfortunately, people have very little knowledge what development even means. So they reflect their own culture – beliefs,… also on topics as advance civilizations, so they seek to understand them. Someone who is millions or even billions of years more advance as we are, is no longer primitive as we are. Their understanding of everything is far ahead of ours. Most of the people today think with beliefs of 19th century, they have huge problems to get out of egocentric, violent,…belive systems.Articles like this just show how immensely toxic culture we are, people tend to condemn advance civilizations already in advance, even if we do not know them, but this does not stop people to affix a label on them. This is called primitivity. And do you know why is this so important? Because your labels, create an violent standpoint to other possible life forms, prejudices,…such things are very, very dangerous.
Good comment. I would say further that until our own transformation occurs by the renewing of our consciousness, the evolution of our thinking we will continue to hostile towards the unknown and unable to accept the reality of the fact that we are not alone.
Most do not even have the imagination to even think of what another civilization so far advanced would be like or their needs and so on. They do tend to apply our own behavior and thought patterns to what we experience on earth as a base for what other civilizations may or may not do. We can all speculate what other species might be like but it is only that, speculation at this point in time.
My personal opinion is that the Universe ( / multi ) is much to vast to have only our tiny planet be the only sign of life as we know it, or even life as we do not know it. Even our own solar system could have life somewhere other then earth. From single cell types to much more complicated forms of life like us, or to be honest there might more complicated forms of life that we can only hope to imagine. Each and every area on earth has some sort of living creature using it as its habitat, from the extremophile’s to algae, everything has its place and even when we think its impossible for anything to thrive in an environment, we find that something indeed can thrive in that habitat. That is just earth, and over its billions of years of life it has hosted billions of kinds of life over the eons. So why not everywhere else? The idea that there is nothing out there in the vastness of space seems more impossible to me then there being life forms out there somewhere. It could be that nearly each and every system has some kind of life, our own galaxy has so many systems itself that just here we could have thousands of planets/moons with some kind of life on it, or the remains of life from an ancient past.
