Iguana Found On Mars By NASA Curiosity Rover, 3 Photos, Video

Here is a photograph taken by the Mars Curiosity Rover of what appears to be a fossilized Iguana on the surface of Mars. This reptilian creature appears in a few photos on the SOL 153 page, reports UFO Hunting Clouds.

This week an iguana was found in not one, but three NASA photos taken by Curiosity. Outlandish…not by any means. To say its just a rock would be very closed minded to the evidence at hand, says Scott C. Waring, author of UFO Sightings Daily.

Photo above is of iguana on Mars, upper has altered contrast to see eye, mouth, nose.

Date of discovery: November 2013

Location of discovery: Mars

Source: NASA Curiosity Rover, Sol 153

1st off this is not the first animal found on Mars, actually there have been about 10-15 to date. I even found a rock that moved four times in four photos…then vanished on the fifth.

2nd, this mars iguana looks back and cocks its head in a manner fitting that of a…iguana.

3rd, not only does it have a body, but look closely and you will see its lower neck skin, its mouth line, nostril hole and even an open eye with a large brow over it. (I added contrast in the top mars lizard photo for you to see its eye and moot more easily).

Photo below shows normal iguanas on Earth

4th, if an animal were to live on the red planet, it would be logical that it would have to be small and tough enough to survive in its surroundings. And don’t ask me what it eats…I don’t live on Mars!

5th, this iguana is looking back…watching the Curiosity rover to see what its going to do.

6th, an iguana, at least on Earth, often do not drink much water in their life, but get their moisture from the air and their food source.

So you ask, does Mars have life on its surface? Yes, of course it does. Life exists on Mars and this is something the USA has tried to stop the rest of the countries from finding out. The US shot down Russian satellites that were sent to Mars…one while it was still in orbit around Earth about to leave. Click here to learn more about that.

As always one must take pareidolia, the psychological phenomenon involving a vague and random stimulus (often an image or sound) being perceived as significant, a form of apophenia, into consideration. Common examples include seeing images of animals or faces in clouds, the man in the moon or the Moon rabbit, and hearing hidden messages on records when played in reverse.

Of all the possible Mars creatures spotted perhaps none is more famous than the Mars “squirrel” seen in a NASA Curiosity Rover photoln

Update: A lot of people are emailing me saying that this squirrel was part of a NASA experiment to test how long it would live on the surface of Mars and I do believe this does sound like something they might do. Why would they not tell us about it? Because the squirrel would be expected to die eventually and that would get PETA to fight against them in a court of law, says Waring.

A friend emailed this in to me today (Original Photo on NASA Website…click here!) and its really amazing and strange. I guess thats why I love this one so much. Its a cute rodent on Mars. Note it’s lighter color upper and lower eyelids, it’s nose and cheek areas, its ear, its front leg and stomach.

“Looks similar to a squirrel camouflaged in the stones and sand by its colors. Hey, who doesn’t love squirrels right? That doesn’t look like a squirrel you say? Then have a look at the photo below of similar squirrel in the same position on Earth. This might have been the big historical announcement that NASA was suppose to make, however they decided life on Mars was a secret worth keeping since they don’t want China or Russia to beat America to Mars. So they shut up about it and can take their time to Mars this way. The scientist jumped the gun and told the public about a major historical discovery on Mars…this must be what he was talking about,” says Waring.

Idk, it looks like a rock. What we need is multiple photos to show it moving or something

    • FourtyTwo

They should have given Curiosity a thermal imagine camera.

    • Neil Armstrong

It’s been common knowledge since August 6, 2012 that the NASA Curiosity Rover has been cruising around the desert about 150 miles northwest of Cabo San Lucas. Maybe someone should tell NASA.

      • stompk

Look up Mars Desert Research Station.

      • Angel31

        I agree with ya it’s earth people…… :!:

    • FarmerX

I would supposes that samples should be taken to see if we can determine what turned the iguana to stone….

    • JustAComment

No, it’s not alive, just a rock. You should be able to see for yourself some of the pictures aren’t blurry enough to be authentic.

    • truthuncovered

fossilized remains do not keep shape like that picture of the lizard rock

The mouse: His shadow is off. Cut an past expertise was needed

    • Fleendar the Magnificent

This is what I call a “love rock”. It’s just another fxxxing ROCK!

    • Theron

Then, the flying monkeys attacked. Forcing us to crashland our electric train into the dessert. Fortunately we were all able to swim to safety.

Goto Google and do an image search for rocks that look like things. You can find a million and one rocks on earth that are naturally formed that look like people, trucks, animals, dinosaurs, robots, robots, boobs, anything.

Most things don’t fossilize standing out in the open. And where’s the rest of the environment that this iguana would have to have been living in? Why would only he be fossilized where he stood and nothing else is?

Mars might have had life at one point, but you people need to quit pointing at rocks and crying wolf… Or iguana.

Go outside and watch the clouds pass by. You’ll see many animals. Doesn’t mean they live up in the sky.

    • TombRaider

That’s simply a rock squirrel! Geeezzzz!

    • Greenfire

Well, this one was better than infamous rock-duck….

    • gsummit

I’d be more likely to believe that this is a picture of Ronald McDonald.

Common sense tells us that the desiccated nothingness of Mars cannot support advanced life forms. What does this iguana live on? Red dust? What does it breathe? How is it not cooked by the sun? Maybe it’s a bloody rock you poltroons!

      • Prudence Wright

but everything you are basing your opinion on has been TOLD to us…..

In this day and age, it’s hard to tell what is reality and what is fiction, and the powers that be like it that way……

    • Geeper

“This week an iguana was found in not one, but three NASA photos taken by Curiosity”

So why only show us one photo? If there were different angles I could take this seriously, but one photo of a rocky iguana is just a rock. Google “pareidolia”.

    • That_was_Random

iguana SHAPED ROCK. Waste of a mouse click.

    • Sarkoloff

I don’t know, but the iguana picture, your lead photo, sure looks like it’s been photo-shopped to me (under the mouth and back legs areas.) Call me a skeptical fool…

Now the rodent one, on the other hand, I can half-way believe, and now that I really look closely, there also appears to be a second one, somewhat darker, in the foreground; that’s in a sitting-up position & maybe a foot away?(!) (Oh man, now they got ‘me’ doing it too!) lol

    • @USArmy_vet

There is NO reason for excitement or attention to this. From the look of the photos – the iguana is obviously dead, the poor thing.

    • @USArmy_vet

Absolutely Amazing! Who would have thought that squirrels would live where there are no trees to build nests in. That is probably why the poor thing died :(

henry deacon has been to mars. he said i believe he was taken to an ordinary looking building in L A he got into what he thought was an elevator. The door closed and a few minutes he was on Mars. It is a great interview. I think you should take a llok. I would not believe anything that the gov’t tells me about the radiation on Mars. I forget where I heard this but we have hiusing for people onMars and we have a project called option3 which was set up as a safe haven for the elite. What henry got into was callled a jumo room. He is a Livermore physicist. I think he makes metion that animals do exist on mars.I suggest you watch the video. You will be blownaway

    • Blackie the faithful border collie

I’ve been to Mars and there was no Henry Deacon! And no iguana’s either, silly silly people.

    • You\\\'re intellectually impotent

I am a reptile lover, always have been. Ive had my green iguana for almost 5 years now.
The rock does have an uncanny appearance of an ig, with a dewlap and such, however its just a rock..
All the “fossils” that have been “discovered” on mars are just rocks… come on people are you really that gullible.

    • Jim

It almost looks like they are animals frozen in time, like a passing planet with stronger gravity sucked away the atmosphere and left them frozen instantaneously where they stood. Is that possible?

Also it looks like it could actually be ……………………………a rock.

    • Mellissa

Meh, clouds look like natural objects all the time, so do rocks and even ink blots. Humans are programmed to look for familiar patterns.

This is clearly a rock, not a petrified rock of a once living being either. I would love for them to find something alive on mars, the atmosphere would not support anything like we are at this time. I think we should scale down and hunt for microbes, and even possible bugs. Extreamophiles live is the weirdest places on earth so it leads me to think that almost any environment “could” have something that “might” thrive. Even the vastness of space itself.
