Alien Abduction Victims What They Recall

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

The terms alien abduction or abduction phenomenon describe “subjectively real memories of being taken secretly against one’s will by apparently nonhuman entities and subjected to complex physical and psychological procedures”. People claiming to have been abducted are usually called “abductees” or “experiencers”.

Due to a paucity of objective physical evidence, most scientists and mental health professionals dismiss the phenomenon as “deception, suggestibility (fantasy-proneness, hypnotizability, false memory syndrome), personality, sleep paralysis, psychopathology, psychodynamics [and] environmental factors”.

However, the late Prof. John E. Mack, a respected Harvard University psychiatrist, devoted a substantial amount of time to investigating such cases and eventually concluded that the only phenomenon in psychiatry that adequately explained the patients’ symptoms in several of the most compelling cases was posttraumatic stress disorder. As he noted at the time, this would imply that the patient genuinely believed that the remembered frightening incident had really occurred.

The following quiz was developed by MUFON,  The Mutual UFO Network, for possible alien abduction.  Answer each yes or no.

1. Have you had a close encounter with a UFO?

67% of experiencers have conscious recall of a craft at less than 1000 feet prior to an abduction .

2. Do you consciously recall (not with hypnosis), the observation of non-human entities immediately prior to an abduction while you were outside your home?

56% had conscious recall for observing non-human entities outside their home.

3. Have witnesses observed a UFO near your house, vehicle, tent, etc. prior to or during your abduction?

43% said that witnesses observed a UFO near their home, vehicle, tent, etc.

4. Have you experienced at least an hour of missing time following a close encounter with a UFO for which you can find no prosaic explanation?

The most frequently reported period of missing time is 2 hours.

5. Have you awoken in bed to find beings in your bedroom? Did you move your body or cry out and then become paralyzed?

Many experiencers report that it couldn’t have been sleep paralysis, because they moved and attempted to escape.

6. Do you have memories of moving rapidly through the air under someone else’s control when you were awake in bed and observed intruders in your bedroom?

Dreams of flying or the sensation of moving is not necessarily indicative of alien abduction. But if you were awake and observed non-human entities in your house, and then were moved rapidly through someone else’s control, you might be an experiencer.

7. Do you consciously recall part of an abduction experience?

88% of experiencers consciously recall part of an abduction experience.

8. Are you aware of having been examined on an alien craft?

58% of experiencers are aware of having been examined on a craft

83% of experiencers have awoken with unexplained marks on their bodies.

13. Have you awoken and found yourself dressed in someone else’s clothing or with own clothing inside out or backwards, without a prosaic explanation?

It is common for experiencers to have found themselves dressed in someone else’s clothing or with own clothing inside out or backwards. Sometimes people find that they are upside down in bed, with their heads tucked tightly under their covers and their feet on the pillow.

14. If you are a female, have you experienced a gynecological problem that you think is related to your abduction/contact experiences?

69% of female experiencers have experienced gynecological problems.

15. As a child, were you generally happy and without unusual highs and lows?

The majority of experiencers were happy as children. But a small percentage was physically abused and had frequent mood swings.

16. As an adult, are you generally happy and without unusual highs and lows?

The majority of experiencers report that they are happy adults and do not experience mood swings. However, those who have traumatic memories of being abused by ETs or humans are more likely to feel sad as adults.

17. Can you feel a foreign object in your body that you suspect is an alien implant?

53% of experiencers can you feel a foreign object in your body that they suspect is an alien implant.

38% of experiencers have a formal medical diagnosis of CFIDS or chronic mononucleosis. This figure is less than 1% in the general population.

21. Do you suffer from migraine headaches?

40% of experiencers suffer from migraine headaches. This is considerably higher than the 11% among the general population.

22. Have you awoken with burns, hair loss, or conjunctivitis and memories of an abduction/contact?

Only 22% of experiencers have awoken with burns, hair loss and conjunctivitis. However, this has occurred in some well known abduction cases, especially during the 1970s and 1980s.

23 Has your nose bled immediately following a suspected abduction/contact?

52% of experiences state that their noses have bled immediately after an abduction experience.
24. Do you crave excessive amounts of salt?

29.  Have you had multiple sightings of UFOs up close?

The majority of experiencers state that they’ve had many UFO sightings.

30. Do you have an inordinate fear of alien abduction that affects your everyday life?
The majority of experiencers are not pleased about their situation. It disrupts their sleep and instills fear and anger. Many have been helped by a support group or close association with a supportive friend or experiencer. UFO conferences sometimes host support meetings for experiencers. Support group listings can be found online. MUFON is currently vetting support groups for referrals, but this is new and will take a little time.

Skeptic Robert Sheaffer sees similarity between the aliens depicted in early science fiction films, in particular, Invaders From Mars, and some of those reported to have actually abducted people.

Typical claims involve being subjected to a forced medical examination that emphasizes their reproductive system. Abductees sometimes claim to have been warned against environmental abuse and the dangers of nuclear weapons. While many of these claimed encounters are described as terrifying, some have been viewed as pleasurable or transformative.

Antônio Vilas-Boas   (1934–1991) was a Brazilian farmer who claimed to have been abducted by extraterrestrials in 1957. Though similar stories had circulated for years beforehand, Vilas Boas’ claims were among the first alien abduction stories to receive wide attention

The first alleged American alien abduction claim to be widely publicized was the Betty and Barney Hill abduction in 1961. Reports of the abduction phenomenon have been made around the world, but are most common in English speaking countries, especially the United States. The contents of the abduction narrative often seem to vary with the home culture of the alleged abductee

Travis Walton (born February 10, 1953) is an American logger who was allegedly abducted by a UFO on November 5, 1975, while working with a logging crew in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest in Arizona. Walton could not be found, but reappeared after a five-day search.

The Walton case received mainstream publicity and remains one of the best-known instances of alleged alien abduction. UFO historian Jerome Clark writes that “Few abduction reports have generated as much controversy” as the Walton case. It is furthermore one of the very few alleged alien abduction cases with some corroborative eyewitnesses, and one of few alleged abduction cases where the time allegedly spent in the custody of aliens plays a rather minor role in the overall account.

UFO researchers Jenny Randles and Peter Houghe write that “Neither before or since has an abduction story begun in the manner related by Walton and his coworkers. Furthermore, the Walton case is singular in that the victim vanished for days on end with police squads out searching … it is an atypical ‘Close Encounter: Fourth Kind’  … which bucks the trend so much that it worried some investigators; others defend it staunchly

The taking of people against their will must be exposed and denounced.

We are the native peoples of this world. We are experiencing intervention. The history of our world teaches us what intervention is like, and that it is always carried out in the interest of those who are intervening. Do not let ourselves then fall under foreign persuasion and intervention. Understand that our true friends and allies would never intervene in the world in this way or carry on such activities, which only threaten the well-being of people and undermine humanity’s unity, self-sufficiency and discretion.

UFOs, Have you ever seen one? Do they really exist?

By the way, if UFOs were just something imagined by crazy folks, why would the government be so anxious to recover a piece of something that doesn’t exist, unless they have more information that they exist then we do?

And I did see some strange craft. I was 18 and in the Army stationed at Ft. Sam Houston in San Antonio Texas. This was in 1963 and right before President Kennedy was assassinated. (Not that it has any connection)

We were all standing in the field waiting for someone to tell us what to do, when we all noticed a UFO above us, not close enough to see a lot of details, but it was cigar shaped and had different colored lights that were circling it. Either flashing one after the other or it was rotating.

(I wonder if certain saucer shaped UFOs when tilted, give the cigar shaped appearance.)

Anyway, it was huge, like a blimp, but I don’t think it could have been a blimp and I’m pretty sure this wasn’t anything the military had then. It just stayed up there for a long time without any movement. We finally got tired of looking at it. The next day there was a story about the UFO in the San Antonio paper.

Now this UFO was close enough that you could easily tell that it was some kind of flying craft, not some strange looking cloud.

And that’s the point. Almost all UFO photos are very frustrating to look at try to figure out what’s going with some little dot off in the clouds somewhere.

And of course there are those UFO photos that look like someone walked up to it sitting on their front lawn and snapped a nice clear shot and all the details are visible… but it looks to real and looks just like a toy, remember, whoever built these things has superior engineering skills and they are designed to move at incredible speeds.

That means you aren’t going to see panels riveted together or little parts sticking out that would mess up the wind drag at thousands of MPH. And of course they aren’t going to have visible doors or other openings.

All that said, the only kind of UFO photos that are worth studying, are those that are fairly close-up and are not blurry.

OK, you ask, where are you going to find those? I thought you would never ask!

Here’s a link to several great UFO shots, clear enough to see that something is going on. Now you tell me what you think they are, I’m interested in your comments.
