Flat Earth vs Globe Earth Theory Blown Wide Open

There’s a lot of talk lately by those who say that we live on a Flat Earth and not on a Globe Earth.  Can we prove this?   When you look up Origins of Earth you will find many different explanations.  The most common one is this:  The most widely held scientific theory is the Big Bang Theory.  According to this theory, the universe originated in an enormous explosion.  Earth, along with the other planets, is believed to have been born 4.5 billion years ago as a solidified cloud of dust and gases left over from the creation of the Sun.    The problem with this “theory” is that it has been taught as fact, not as theory.  If it was taught as theory, then other theories should be taught along with it because theories remain theories until they are proven.  And no one has yet been able to prove the Big Bang Theory.  So we must always remember that it is just that, a theory, a guess, pure speculation.  For this reason it would be wrong to assume that this account is the absolute truth and all other accounts are wrong.  

What is science.  Science is the study of the natural world based on facts learned through experiments and observation.  Science tells us that they believe that the Big Bang happened.   Did they observe this, of course not.   Did they do experiments to determine this?   Of course not.  So how did they come up with it?   It was a guess.  No one can say that this is a proven fact, yet we are taught that it is.   As a result, many people believe that the earth is a globe and spins at 1,000 mph and that it orbits the sun at 67,000 mph and that our earth hangs somewhere in space, and that the universe is trillions of light years across and all these other “facts” that have never been proven.  This is very important to understand:   This Has Never Been Proven.  

So why do we believe it?   Because ever since we first went to school there was a globe in our classroom, and our teachers told us that this is what our earth looks like.   They also taught us all the other “theories” about the universe.  Because this is all that we were taught, we believed it.   Then we saw those globe pictures everywhere which reinforced out belief to the point where most people now are totally convinced that this is absolutely true.  Even though it is still a “theory” because it has Never Been Proven.  Good propaganda I would say.  Or better yet, let’s call it for what it is:  Brainwashing.   If you do a search on the Big Bang Theory, you will find conflicting reports.  Some say it did happen, and others say no, it did not happen.  So why is it being taught as fact?

So if we are to consider other “theories” then let’s also consider this one.   The first sentence of the Bible states:  In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.  We can’t prove this one either, yet it is just as valid as the Big Bang Theory.  So let’s consider it along with the Big Bang and then decide.  This should have been done in the first place because by now, most of us already are convinced that the Big Bang is the absolute truth.   But if you can just put that aside for a few minutes and open your mind to other possibilities, understanding that nothing has been proven, you may just learn something that you never considered before. And it will help you make a more informed decision.  Is that fair?

The Bible’s account of creation is totally opposite of the Big Bang.  God said that he is the one that created the heavens and the earth.  A detailed account is given regarding this creation, but basically, he created a firmament to separate water from water.  This firmament is a dome that covers our earth which we call sky.  The earth is a flat plane with mountains, valleys, rivers, and lakes, and is spread out on the water.  It is set upon pillars that hold it in place.  Within the dome, God created a greater light, the sun, and a lesser light, the moon, and the stars, to give light to the day and the night.    The sun and moon travel in a circuit around the surface of the flat earth giving us day, night, and seasons.  

So there you have it, two “theories” which are each just as valid giving us two different accounts of how the earth came to be.  It’s up to each of us to decide which one we want to believe:   God’s version or man’s version.  Who is right?   Who do you believe?
