New Evidence of Reincarnation Drops, This Is Getting Crazy (Video)

In this 25 October 2026 published video, host Tim Pool talks about a small unit inside UVA’s medical school, University of Virginia Division of Perceptual Studies (DOPS), which has spent nearly 60 years collecting the stories of children who say they remember a past life. A new study of 1,678 of those cases found a pattern no one expected.
The study compiled data spanning decades of research at UVA, focusing on the “intermission time”—the duration between the death of the previous person and the birth of the child claiming to remember them.
While the study does not claim to prove that reincarnation is real, mainstream science and the researchers themselves note the data presents an eerie anomaly that cannot be easily explained by existing cultural or psychological models.
What is catching the Internet’s attention is how the researchers attempted to rule out common skeptical counterarguments. The correlation between unexpected death and a shorter intermission was actually stronger in families that did not believe in reincarnation. This makes it harder to argue that parents are simply projecting their own religious or spiritual expectations onto their children. The pattern persisted even after the team controlled for variables like information quality, statement accuracy, family acquaintance, and social status. The researchers noted that many reincarnation-oriented frameworks (including Hindu, Buddhist, and certain Indigenous North American traditions) teach that abrupt or premature deaths leave behind unresolved attachments or “unfinished business,” creating a stronger impetus toward an immediate rebirth.
Mainstream scientists and the study’s authors emphasize that this is not definitive proof of life after death. Mainstream skepticism points toward alternative psychosocial explanations. These include localized reporting biases, information transfer or subtle “priming” within communities, and post-selection matching—where a community unconsciously looks for a dead person whose timeline and life details fit the spontaneous statements of a child.
Instead of validating the supernatural, the study highlights that when analyzing massive datasets of anomalous human experiences, mathematical patterns emerge that our current understanding of psychology and sociology cannot fully explain yet.
