China Changes Law to Allow for Detention of it's Citizens for 6 Months and This Makes the National News! How About the Indefinite Detention of the NDAA??

It is most amusing to me to see the AP and other lamestream news outlets pick up the change in Chinese Law which allows for the Chinese Police to detain Citizens for up to 6 months in Secret Detention Centers. This information seems to be causing quite a stir in the media.

The Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabo says there is a need for more political openness, according to a recent Washington Post story. Now , correct me if I am mistaken, but this is China , where laws like this are expected, and we can all remember the protests of Tienimen Square. We see this as a violation of basic human rights, this secret detention without due process, but wait……

There was no media outcry when the U.S. Senate and House, in a nearly unanimous decision , passed the National Defense Authyorization Act, and President Obama Signed it into law, like a thief in the night on New Years Eve. I do not understand how this was not covered with outrage by the media!  After all, the NDAA sounds like something that would be written and passed by a Communist government , not by America. The Ndaa allows for indefinite detention, not 6 months. The NDAA allows the US Government to take the person it detains anywhere in the world, without legal charges ever being filed, in seceret.  Where is the Outrage?

 Recently the same House and Senate passed HB 347 which in effect criminalizes protesters, and this is not all over the front page? Does anyone but me see a problem? The United States Government is spying on it’s own citizens, thanks to the same yellow Legislators that passed the recent ‘laws’ mentioned above. Ron Paul is one of the few who has remained steadfast in his defense of the Constitutioin, but he is being ignored and cheated out of his rightful  victories in the primaries.  This is America,  not China. These laws are not supposed to be coming out of Washington.  HELLO!!   S.O.S.   We are in real trouble here.  But it seems no one even cares.
