Who Is Really The Racist?

I have watched a couple clips from the George Zimmerman trial over  the Trayvon Martin shooting.

The key witness for the prosecution, Rachel Jeantel testified that she got the idea that the shooting was racially motivated because Trayvon Martin called George Zimmerman a creepy ass cracker while on the phone with her before the shooting. That was it, no real reason. Just because she said that Trayvon described him as a creepy ass cracker.

When the shooting first happened, I assumed that George Zimmeran may have went after Trayvon but as details started trickling out, I wondered if the shooting could have been justifed. I had also found out that NBC had altered the 911 call to make it sound racially motivated. Obama threw his 2 cents in with his ridiculous “if I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon” remark. He just had to stick his nose in where it does not belong stirring more divide.

During the testimony, Rachel said something else that I am not sure if the defense attorney caught but I did. When being questioned about why she had never told anyone before that Trayvon had called George a creepy ass cracker, she said that the defense attorney was the only one that asked what Trayvon had said. She also said that the detectives (I assume) had asked her if she thought the attack was racially motivated. Why would they ask someone who was not there a question like that? Number one, that is planting ideas and number two, why didn’t they ask why she felt that it was racially motivated?

It is extremely rare to hear the ‘n’ word outside of the black community but it is also extremely rare not to hear it from the black community. Rachel testified that calling white people crackers was quite common in the black community. The ‘n’ word is used by blacks in the movies, music, comedy and so on. I have to ask, who are the real racists here? She also says that calling white people cracker is not a racial slur. Let me just add that being called a cracker has never bothered me. Sticks and stones. But the intention behind calling someone ‘cracker’ is certainly not good.

And another thing, Al Sharpton is an opportunistic race baiter. I can’t speak for all but I can speak for many when I say that when Al Sharpton enters the picture, the side that he is on automatically loses credibility. 

Zimmerman saw someone that he did not know in his neighborhood and he felt he was acting suspicious. He called 911. Trayvon may have been 17 but he was a man. He was not the little kid that the media kept and continues to show. Once they came together, I don’t know if Zimmerman was the agressor because he was fed up with crime in his neighborhood or if Trayvon was the agressor because a ‘cracker’ was watching  him.

None of us were there that night. We do not know what happened.

I am sorry that parents lost a child There is another family that has suffered from this situation as well. We can’t forget that.
