Such is the stuff of movies! During the 1965 war, students at IIT Kharagpur were in class and they heard loud explosions. As soon as their class got over, they biked over to the site where the smoke was coming from and were soon treated to a thrilling fight between an IAF planes and one Pakistan Air Force Plane.

(thermo test was in progress, and a part of war’s absurdity sticks with me, with our lecturer yelling: “no talking, no talking” as we all went out to the corridor to see the action.”
