There is the remains of a brown dwarf star and it is about half Jupiter mass in a 4970 year orbital period about the Sun. It forms comet swarms from Kuiper Belt Objects it casts into orbits that do pass thru the inner solar system. These comet swarms eventually collide with planets or are ejected from the solar system by interactions with the Jovian planets. No Planet X comes close to Earth because it would be likewise ejected. But this body eventually casts other Kuiper Belt Objects into similar orbits again renewing the comet swarm threat. The comet swarms are in a nominal 3:2 resonate orbit with the brown dwarf star.
We call the brown dwarf star Vulcan because that is what Madam Blavatsky named it and she had enough data for us to define its orbital parameters.
