It’s been funded by European governments and $542 million from the United States. The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) was restarted April 5, after a two-year shutdown and a $150 million upgrade.
Inside the LHC, two beams of protons are forced to smash into each other at high speed. The initial goal was to create the so-called “God” particle – Higgs boson — achieved in 2012.
Now they hope to recreate the Big Bang, discover dark matter, expose other dimensions and more. To do that, scientists are nearly doubling the power level so the two beams of particles will collide much more violently.

So are you saying scientist are looking to see if matter has a finite particle? The last one before hitting the spiritual dimension?
That this might unravel space and time and suck it up all up into something infinitely smaller than the finite particle itself so that it is theoretically impossible to measure its size?
That we have left only the dimension of infinity?

More ooly spooky tin foil hat BS about the LHC, it is not now nor ever was a doomsday machine!
If they shut it down, it only means several hundreds or may be a couple of thousands of scientists plus employees will lose they job and they will have nothing else do to.
Not a very good predicament. Closing it down won’t help anything good.
BTW there is no such thing as black hole opening or the 10th dimension breaking loose or any kind of such nonsense with the LHC.
Just leave them alone with what they are doing. Nothing bad will happen to you because of that.
By the way, I don’t believe they discovered the Higgs boson so called the God particle. Still it doesn’t matter there is no reason to shut down the LHC. It poses no danger to humanity whatsoever.
