This is just an additional note about skiba’s balloon footage specifically about the bottom camera lens.. Many have come to me about the fact that Skiba identified a minor lens distortion in the 7.2mm however.. this had basically no effect on the footage I analyzed earlier as the horizon I analyzed was even closed to the FOV center than the distorted Bar.. and was curved More.

It is becoming abundantly clear that the 8″ per mile squared formula has created false expectations for locally observable curvature and is being grossly misapplied.
4.48 degrees of curvature over 310 miles of observable horizon from 100,000 ft. is barely noticeable (as proven by Skiba’s data, based on the 47 degree field of view of the 7.2 mm lens used).
Based on the data derived from Skiba’s experiment………..
4.48 degrees of curvature over 310 miles (4.48 / 310 = 0.0144516129) or 0.0144516129 degrees per mile.
.144516129 degrees for ten miles.
1.44516129 degrees for 100 miles etc., etc., etc.
You can not detect that minute (as in small ) a change in angle with the unaided eye (without precision optical measuring devices).
This is why a viewer looking up or down a beach or over a viewable spance of water is not seeing what they are expecting to see based on the curvature formula of 8 inches drop per mile squared.
If you take the above data of 0.0144516129 degrees per mile and multiply it times the earth’s circumference of 24901.5 you get 359.866838629…(within 0.133161371 degree or 9.21077203207 miles)…..close enough to 360 degrees to prove this data (derived from Skiba’s experiment) is accurate and correct and thus proves the globe model is the correct model.
We are riding a spinning globe with no threat of being slung off (even with a surface speed of 1041 mph) because the earth only makes one revolution in 24 hrs., not enough spin rate to generate escape velocity. You can prove this to yourself next time you’re in a park or play ground with merry-go-rounds. Sit on the merry-go-round and ask someone to spin you at the break neck speed of approximately one revolution per hour (a spin rate 24 times faster than the earth) and experience the sheer terror of trying to stay seated upon that speeding merry-go-round. LMAO !!
Rob Skiba’s second balloon experiment has solidly proven that the correct amount of curvature was observed to match the existing data on the size of our globe/ball earth. SLAM DUNK !! WHAM, BAM, THANK YOU MA’AM !!
Thank you Rob Skiba and crew for a well done experiement and the data that was retrieved. It would be nice if this matter could be put to rest but that probably won’t happen because this is an agenda and further more, many people have become too heavily invested in this meme to drop it and move on.
