Voiding Logic to Uphold Late Term Abortion

Unfortunately, because of the “fear” that Trump will push for and SCOTUS will go to bat for him regarding overturning Roe V Wade, individual states have ramped up their game to ensure that even if SCOTUS ends up overturning it, they will have laws in place that will allow them to continue the abortion industry unchecked.

In reality, even if Roe V Wade was overturned at the federal level, things would simply revert back to the individual states where their state legislatures would make the decision as to whether or not their state would continue with abortions or not. The Left fears that SCOTUS might overturn it, which they claim would mean an end to abortion; aka Murder, Inc. This is simply not true. I cannot imagine every state in the United States deciding to make abortions illegal. It will not happen so those on the Left who keep crying, moaning and groaning about this possibility are not being honest or they simply fail to understand how laws work at the federal or state level.

We know that Virginia has been pushing to make late-term abortions legal. We also know that current, though under fire, Gov. Northam has implied that even if a baby survives an abortion attempt, he wants to ensure that the mother with her physician would make the final determination as to whether or not the child continues to live. Several other states like Massachusetts, the most recent state to push for late-term abortions.

We are seeing a movement within America that is really nothing short of legalizing murder to the nth degree. Because the Left refuses to acknowledge that these unborn children are in fact, children (they refer to them as fetal tissue or simply fetuses), they believe they can get away with murdering these babies up until the very moment of delivery (or as stated, even after birth). This is truly unconscionable but we are seeing the mask that has characterized the Left as being “caring” and concerned for minorities and others (illegal aliens), slipping away. It’s as though the Left does not care how they come across or what the world sees that they stand for regarding abortion or other issues.

It was interesting to watch the State of the Union (SOTU) and in spite of all the pluses or positives mentioned by President Trump, Dems refused to clap and for the most part, sat expressionless or vividly irritated. How sad is that? How disgusting that all the women Dems dressed in white could not clap for those young girls who had been rescued from sex trafficking? This is what the Democrat Party has become and frankly, I doubt seriously that JFK would recognize it today were he still with us.

But this idea that a baby, being nurtured in the womb, is not really a human being has become the go to sentiment among many on the Left today. The logic is gone.

For instance, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruled this past December that pregnant mothers who took illegal narcotics that could and do actual harm to the babies they carry cannot be charged with child abuse. The reason? It is said that in order for the mother to be charged with child abuse, she must be carrying an actual child. Apparently, it doesn’t become a child until after it is born, according the PA Supreme Court. [1] The absurdity of this ruling is seen for what it is by critically thinking, unselfish people.

How is it that in the case of someone who murdered a pregnant mother is often charged with two counts of murder; one for the mother and one for the child she carried? Clearly, in those cases, the child is considered a real, honest to goodness child. However, the PA court defines a child implicitly as becoming one only after it has been born.

The reality here is tragic. Many arguments are offered. For instance, it has been said that a fetus cannot live without constant care if born prematurely. I have news for these people. Take a full-term baby that was just born and is completely healthy. Leave it by itself for a while and what will happen? It will begin to degrade, to suffer and will eventually die if not nurtured. Human babies are not like many in the animal kingdom where only a few hours after their birth they are walking and appear as though they can care for themselves. However, even there in many cases, they cannot and if not given the proper nutrient and nurturing from its mother, will spiral downward toward death.

A child a year old cannot fend for itself. Neither can one who is two or three. Human beings need nurturing for a number of years after they are born before they can begin to do things on their own.

However, the courts, with their arbitrary rulings have decided that they do not believe a child is truly a child until after it is born. This is the height of stupidity! A baby’s heartbeat begins within 8 weeks or so of conception. At that point (at the latest), we can argue that it is a living being. Those who prefer to have the “choice” to murder the baby they carry refuse to acknowledge this because if they do it would mean that they are admitting they are in favor of killing unborn children.

The Left loves to change definitions as it suits them. They have their narrative and they push it as often as they can because if they can change the definition of something, it removes their culpability.

A few years ago I studied the Critical Race Theory and Dr. Derrick Bell. I recall being dumbfounded at how the definition of “racism” had been changed by the Left to mean something it did not mean. When I was growing up, anyone who harbored a resentment toward any particular cultural group solely based on their culture, skin color, etc., was labeled a racist and rightly so. Anyone of any culture can hate people of another culture. When a person embraces such a hatred for all people of one particular race or culture, it is clearly racism.

Over time though, people like the late Dr. Derrick Bell decided that real racism could not apply to black people (later expanded to brown people). Why not? Because he taught that only those groups who hold “power” can actually perpetrate racism on another group, race, or culture. Since he believed blacks in general were constantly being held back by whites, blacks essentially had no power to change the system and were under whites’ thumbs. Therefore, since blacks had no power over whites, they were exempted from being racists.

This is often why when blacks attack a white person, even using racist terms and invective, they are rarely charged with a hate crime. However, when whites attack a black, it is automatically accepted as a hate crime.

These types of lies – saying babies aren’t actually children or that blacks cannot be racist – has positioned people against one another. It is all done because of the lies that have changed definitions. Unborn children are not truly children, therefore if the mother does illegal drugs, it’s not child abuse. Blacks cannot be racist because they apparently have no power over whites. Both of these are completely bogus, yet the Left continues on with a nonplussed attitude, deliberately denying the truth because if they admitted it, they’d have no excuse not to change their attitude and behavior.

I cannot help but come back to the apostle Paul’s and Peter’s words regarding the end times (2 Timothy 3:1-9; 2 Peter 3:3-4). As I’ve said before, the actual end times began with the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. These end times will continue until He physically returns to this earth. Once that happens, the end times will conclude and He will reign for 1,000 years on earth in the Millennial Kingdom. He is of course, ruling now, from His heavenly Father’s throne, but in the future, will relocate to His earthly father (David’s) thrown in Jerusalem in fulfillment of prophecy. It’s really that simple.

Today, we are seeing Paul’s and Peter’s (as well as Jesus’ and others who wrote about the end times), coming to pass. People have become serious lovers of themselves. They want what they want and it doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks, according to Paul. Peter reminds us that during these end times, there will be plenty of “scoffers” who laugh in derision at the idea that Jesus is returning again.

We are seeing a growing threat throughout the world. People are giving into self and selfish motives. Increasingly, people will do what they want to do and even if you ask them nicely, they will usually tell you where to go. Selfishness will reign in greater and greater degrees until the physical return of Jesus. It is inevitable.

Today, children are not considered children by the Left until they are born and then, only if the mother wants to keep it. If not? Kill it. Today, racism cannot be perpetrated by blacks against whites because allegedly blacks have no power over whites. Really? That may have been true generations ago in America but it is not true today when considering just how many major cities are controlled by nearly all-black city councils or black mayors. Yet, the Left needs to continue to push their agenda of lies because by it, the power of political correction overrules actual laws. Through it, people who disagree are shamed into silence. Through it, the Left gets their way and if people don’t like it, violence against them is a workable option as far as the Left is concerned.

Truly, Paul’s words adequately describe the tone of global society in the days before our Lord returns.

But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive,disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless,swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people. (2 Timothy 3:1-5 ESV)

What can Christians do? First, we can pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17). Essentially, this means to be in constant communication with God. We probably all have times we might set aside for prayer, but we can also go through the day and talk with God all the time. Second, we should read His Word because by it, He will focus us and strengthen us to do His will. Third, we cannot allow ourselves to hate people who might be across the aisle ideologically. It is somewhat easy to want to hate someone who has such a disdain for human life or for those who prefer to embrace lies because it is more convenient than truth. Lies allow them to avoid responsibility, they believe.

Ultimately, God wants us to live for Him in truth. That is not easy to do because of the heavy burden society’s woes places on us at times. While our hearts may be burdened, we must remember that many are lost, without God in this world. If we don’t reach out to them as Christians, who will?
