Are We There Yet?

A few years ago, I wrote an article called “Coming Great Delusion Will Unite Humanity.” That particular post dealt with extraterrestrials and the fact that many believe there are other-worldly aliens who are far advanced and have been keeping an eye on earth and earthlings for some time. 

I concluded in that article that the fascination with aliens, alien encounters and even what “aliens” have described as a “rapture” type event of the future to whisk people off planet earth, will happen at some point in the future. If the Rapture is taught in Scripture (and I believe it is), it makes sense that Satan would do what he could to offer an explanation for that event and prepare his followers for a time when that will happen. When it does, leaders will rise to the occasion to calm fears and further unite the planet.

But before we get to that point when humanity will ultimately be united as one, will there be anything leading up to that unity that will make it far easier for the world to unite? I believe so and I believe we are now experiencing it with Coronavirus.

Let be clear here though that this “unity” began decades ago with Woodrow Wilson and in earnest, with FDR. Wilson began doing the bidding of very rich and powerful people who remained behind the scenes, but the goal was to weaken America. It was done incrementally here and there and once a “central bank” was created (aptly named the Federal Reserve, which is not federal or a reserve, but a privately owned bank, mainly by people who live in Europe), things began to go downhill rather quickly. Roughly ninety years later, the government has grown larger and more ominous with each handout (bailout).

I look around at society today and I’m actually flabbergasted at what I see. It would seem the majority of society sees more government as “better” because more people can be taken care of. This was foreign to our founding fathers who preferred the government stand back and simply allow people within society to pursue life, liberty and happiness and they believed the government was there to support and defend God-given freedoms. Today, people seem to want more government control as opposed to freedom to make their own decisions.

Dennis Prager wrote an excellent article on this subject recently titled, “Our Dress Rehearsal for a Police State,” and has some important points to make. I’d encourage all to read it carefully. He stated in part, “People will argue that a temporary police state has been justified because of the allegedly unique threat to life posed by the new coronavirus. I do not believe the data will bear that out. Regardless, let us at least agree that we are closer to a police state than ever in American history.” 

Prager further stated, “…the ease with which police state tactics have been employed and the equal ease with which most Americans have accepted them have been breathtaking.” I couldn’t agree more, especially where Christians are concerned. While Christians should live peaceable lives and not incite treason against the government (Romans 13), the same Constitution that created our government also guarantees our freedoms, yet our freedoms are going away and most seem fine with that.

Just several months ago, society was literally humming along on all cylinders. The economy was growing, people were happy about it and life was good. But how quickly things change, don’t they?

Coronavirus changed society in major ways. Whether or not it was a planned crisis or one in which the government leaders simply took advantage of the crisis will be debated until the end of time. One thing is certain and that is the fact that government stepped in and created restrictive policies and has “given” away a great deal of money (provided by taxpayers). By doing so, the government also gained far more control over people’s lives and there is no end in sight.

With respect to Coronavirus, in the beginning, experts like Dr. Fauci first told us that we had no reason to be concerned and we should just go about our daily lives. The WHO told us we didn’t need to wear masks. Shortly after that, Fauci and WHO reversed and said we had a lot to be concerned with and we should now wear masks.

We learned new terms like “social distancing,” “flattening the curve,” and “sheltering in place.” Soon, extremely strict policies created by politicians and CEOs responded with ways they were going to “help” society. These were either executive orders (EOs) for states and cities or internal corporate policies to be carried out in stores.

From “social distancing ambassadors” in stores to public service announcements, society has entered a new age where we are being told to unite in the fight against Coronavirus or face perilous consequences. 

Commercial ads even extend to lighted signs on highways telling people to avoid groups of more than 10 and the safety measures needed to keep COVID-19 from spreading. People are encouraged to wear masks whenever they’re out but of course, everyone is encouraged to remain home, only going out for essentials. Do you really need to eat? Think twice or even three times before venturing out to buy food.

What has happened in society? Think about how united society has become in just four to six weeks. It is now assumed society has a common enemy called COVID-19 that must be eradicated. If it isn’t, millions upon millions will allegedly die. I have watched videos of people who have completely given themselves over to their fear; fear induced by social media and the mainstream media (MSM), as well as the leading “experts” on health. People are literally beside themselves with paralyzing fear. I’ve read posts by people on social networks who are extremely upset that society is “reopening” at this point and should remain “closed.” This is in spite of the fact that unemployment claims have literally skyrocketed to a whopping 26 million plus, which represents about 16% of the entire workforce. [1] People are losing their jobs, their businesses and some have even resorted to taking their own lives because of it.

Millions and millions of people are now relying on the government to “help,” which usually means handouts. That also means the government’s reach and power has increased and too many are thrilled about it.

This whole epidemic seems to have united humanity in a way that has far-reaching consequences for all nations, including the United States. It’s difficult to talk to people about it because the chances of finding another like-minded soul who believes COVID-19 is being way over-hyped appears remote.

I went to the chiropractor for a scheduled appointment today. Several weeks ago I was simply asked if I had traveled outside the country. Today, I was asked if I had traveled outside the state. I truthfully said “yes,” and was told that I could not see the doctor and that I could not reschedule for two weeks/14 days.

Now think of this. I had gone to see relatives in the rural area of another state that is not even close to being considered a “hot spot.” But because of that, I must “self-quarantine.” The ridiculous part of this is that first, I was already there at the chiropractor’s office and breathing, so any infectious disease I might have was already in the air. Second, I routinely go to the store where there are many other people (grocery store, etc.). Why is it logical to say that because I traveled out of state, my chances of picking up COVID-19 (or the flu or another virus), are greater than picking it up at my local grocery store? Logically, it’s not and since I was already there, it makes absolutely no sense to be told I can only return after at least 14 days of “self-quarantine.”

But this is the way people are thinking now based on EOs issued by politicians. They are taking this COVID-19 very seriously as if it truly is a modern-day (actual) pandemic. I believe it is certainly a health concern, but no greater than the flu that happens every year (hence, flu “season”). Some believe COVID-19 is a direct result of God judging us or trying to get our attention. I’m not convinced of that especially considering it appears that this virus was created in a lab in China and it is interesting to note that the USA gave multi-million dollar grants to that particular lab in Wuhan. To me, it appears to be a set up, not that I’m saying the virus is fake (it’s NOT), but that it may be being overblown so that government can gain more control leading to a police state.

2 Thessalonians 2:1-12 speaks of the coming man of sin, the growing mystery of lawlessness that existed even in Paul the apostle’s day, and the coming delusion that will blind everyone to truth about God.

The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders, and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false… (2 Thess 2:9-11 ESV)

People who love deception (and reject God), will become increasingly susceptible to the lies of the enemy. God will, at some future point, help that happen by sending a strong delusion so that it will become easier to believe what is false.

Will this happen all at once? No, it started decades ago and has been helped along by events in society. Whether it was the stock market crash and the resultant “New Deal” programs by socialist-leaning FDR or the current virus that has overtaken society, it is all working together to get us to the point of relying on a powerful government that will ultimately be set up to solve the earth’s problems under the Antichrist. 

We have come to a point in society where people are willingly embracing lies because of their palpable fear. I’ve never seen such an irrational approach to a health risk in my life. Yet most people will look at me and think I’m the crazy one because I’m not living in abject fear over COVID-19 (or anything else for that matter). However, in the end, we know that the United States must give up its sovereignty to become part of the coming one-world government. We are on that track and moving there fast. It is happening now in real time.

It used to be very difficult for me to “see” how the world would become united so that the way is prepared for the coming man of sin. I’ve thought the Rapture would be a major catalyst in unifying the world and it still very well may be. However, I’m also realizing that people throughout the world want safety more than anything and are willing to cash in their freedom to gain and keep it. The fear of illness and/or death will unite the world.

In some ways, both the Rapture and the current health scare create the same results; a push toward globalism. People want to be “saved” from misery and potential death. Because of that, they now overwhelmingly want government to be the ones to “save” them from every known fear.

Who would’ve thought that in my day, I’d see a society given over to fear and demanding the government do everything possible to keep people safe? This is the path forward from here on out and this fear and panic will loom larger and larger as the days move toward the Tribulation. There is no going back.

According to Scripture, there will come a time when people will believe they have arrived to a time of “peace and safety” only to find that they really haven’t.

While people are saying, “There is peace and security,” then sudden destruction will come upon them as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. (1 Thessalonians 5:3 ESV)
