If I were to ask you what you think the biggest problem in America or even all of global society is right now, what would you say?

Without this one underlying, continual problem that promotes all sorts of injustices throughout society, our world would look starkly different. If we remove just this one major problem, life would change, drastically. In fact, it would not be recognizable to us from what it is now.

What is this continual problem that undergirds society and promotes hatred of so many things?

It is the age old problem of lying.

Think of something. Had Satan not lied to our first parents, Eve and Adam, it is likely we’d all be living in the Garden of Eden. But believing Satan’s lie caused the fall (Genesis 3). There are so many biblical examples of the damage caused by lying that it is impossible to list them all here.

If we consider society right now, it is clear that many ideologies foisted upon us and changing society are actually built fully on lies. In Satan’s case, he lies to usher in his kingdom, the final empire of Daniel 2. According to Scripture, it will exist for seven years and end in the physical return of Jesus.

There are many lies that travel throughout society that people are not allowed to disagree with and if they do, they are labeled “bigots,” “racists,” “haters” and much worse. Anyone who stands for actual truth in today’s society built on lies is often shouted down or even physically attacked. There is little room for actual discussion.

Let’s take a look at just a few of these lies to see what, if any impact, they’ve had on society in part or in whole.

AntiFa/BLM
These two groups have names that are lies. AntiFa stresses that they fight against “fascism,” however, it is clear that they themselves are the fascists. They gang up on people whom they believe to be “fascists” (usually conservatives or patriots), or “nationalists” and seek to “silence” them by harming them. The mainstream media (MSM), goes along with the lies, propping these groups up so that they can riot, loot and harm or kill innocent people in the name of fighting “fascism.”

Today’s AntiFa is no different from Hitler’s “brown shirts” (Stormtroopers), or Mussolini’s “black shirts;” gangs of psychopaths who thrived on brawls and fighting anyone who did not go along with Hitler’s plan to turn Weimar (Germany) into a Socialist utopia. They existed from 1920 to 1934. Simply researching some of the leaders of the “brown shirts” proves that they hated capitalism and wanted socialism to replace it. This is common knowledge for those willing to actually look into history.

BLM (Black Lives Matter) is another group whose name is a lie. If BLM actually cared about all black lives, they’d care about all the black unborn babies horrifically murdered during the abortion procedure. They’d also care about the innocent blacks who were killed during the recent riots, lootings, and arsons that quickly spread to over 30 states in the United States or the high numbers of blacks killed by other blacks in many of America’s inner cities.

However, the only black lives BLM truly cares about are those blacks who lose their lives at the hands of a white person, and more specifically, by white police officers. This is when BLM becomes the news, after a black person is slain by a white police officer. It doesn’t matter what the situation was either. All that matters is that another “racist” cop killed a defenseless black man. The facts often prove otherwise, but people aren’t interested in facts today because it feels better for most to believe lies.

The lies that have created and continue to prop up AntiFa and BLM are many. If a person says they disagree in principle with BLM, they are immediately seen as “racist.” How could a person not agree that black lives matter? The implied lie here is that only black people are routinely hunted down and slaughtered by white racist police officers and not enough is being done to counter it. But this is an absolute lie and it doesn’t matter how much research is presented. People prefer information that tickles their ears (2 Timothy 4:3), as opposed to truth.

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers… (NKJV)

Sadly, the above verse actually speaks about many within Christendom during the last days who will prefer to embrace information that tickles their ears or that make people feel great. This is called “emotional virtue” or in today’s vernacular, “feelz” but it all comes down to political correctness or Cultural Marxism.

If people within Christendom will reject sound doctrine in favor of things that make them feel good, how much more quickly will the unsaved reject truth in favor of lies that tickle their ears? This is what society has become. The truth is being constantly jettisoned in favor of lies because it makes people feel as though they are truly “woke.”

What other lies are we bombarded with in society today?

Climate Change
This is a biggie and includes things like an alleged coming lack of food, a depletion of oil products and out of control pollution. I’ve discussed these recently with my article on Agenda 2030. We are being taught that if we do not seriously reduce our emissions and stop waste of all kinds, even changing the type of food we eat (fake meat anyone?), this world will be gone in the next 10 to 12 years.

So why are we being lied to? Ask yourself who benefits? Could it be the very rich and powerful want the population of this world seriously reduced (mainly through abortion, old age deaths and continual wars), as well as wanting to keep the best foods for themselves while the rest of us eat what they don’t want? In other words, are they trying to build a two-tiered system where they are the kings and queens of capitalism and the rest of us are “serfs” who are forced to live under socialism? It could very well be. Why else would climate change be pushed so hard when there is much proof that it is nonsense?

White Privilege
This is the ideology that says all white people are inherently racist and born that way. When a black person is killed by a police officer, this complaint about white privilege usually comes to the fore again with vehemence. It is argued that more blacks are killed by police officers than whites. This is patently not true, so political pundits often utilize “percentages” to prove it. This means that since blacks make up about 15% of the population, there should be far fewer blacks killed by white police officers. The problem is that this does not take into consideration how often blacks and other minorities cross paths with police officers during the course of criminal and gang activity.

Critical Race Theory (note the use of the world “theory“), has been taught in colleges and universities for decades as fact and essentially teaches the “white privilege” lie. Once a lie is told often enough, it is simply taken as truth, in spite of the facts that say otherwise. People accept it because it itches their ears or because of “feelz.”

Capitalism
Capitalism is being rejected to a greater degree today, especially by younger people, who interestingly enough, are embracing socialism in large numbers. They want “free” things. They want to be taken care of and capitalism requires a work ethic. You get out of capitalism what you are willing to put into it. While there are no guarantees that a person starting a business will be successful, they are sure to be eventually more successful than simply standing in line waiting for the government to give them handouts.

Though socialism has never worked at all, people are still enamored with it. Why? It is due to the fact that it sounds good. People’s ears are tickled and because of it, they respond with emotional virtue in a positive way.

There are many things in society that are built fully on lies, yet are routinely embraced as truth because of how it makes people feel. Feelings have become the main indicator of determining truth (just like the way Eve determined what she thought was true, in Genesis 3).

This is the problem and reward of lies and lying. When Satan tempted Eve, something inside her gravitated toward the lie she was being told. Yeah, God was keeping us from that tree of knowledge of good and evil because He was being selfish! God did not want us to know what it was like to be like Him!

Even though Eve had not previously sinned and therefore did not have a sin nature, it seems clear enough that something within her began to grasp Satan’s lie and she wanted what he was selling.

Every sin that a person commits likely has something to do with believing a lie at some point. Lies work very well for the enemy and Jesus fought against lies His entire life.

As we previously explained the mystery of iniquity as laid out by Paul the apostle in 2 Thess 2, we need to understand that this is what society is experiencing today and since Paul’s day (and even before). Of course, it has gotten far worse and will get worse still.

The mystery of iniquity is a kingdom that will find fulfillment in the coming Antichrist. This kingdom and the man ruling over it – Antichrist – are born of lies. There is no truth in him. There is no truth in his coming kingdom.

This coming Antichrist will be the full embodiment of the growing mystery of iniquity. He will seem to be all things to all people and will even fool many Jewish people until the middle of the coming Tribulation, as spoken about by Jesus in His Olivet Discourse (Matthew 24).

The Antichrist will be the embodiment of Satan in human form; with all lying wonders The undergirding plank of this growing iniquity are lies that appear to be truth. This is the only thing that Satan has going for him; lying. He lied at the beginning when he first tempted Eve and Adam and he lied throughout history leading to Jesus. He lied to Jesus who understood that Satan was lying and He resisted Satan in the power of God’s Spirit.

The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. (2 Thessalonians 2:9-10 NKJV)

Lying wonders. All the signs and power he will use are based on lies. These lies will be so pervasive and so strong that all who are among those who will perish will believe them. Why? Because they prefer lies to truth. If they had been open to and willing to receive truth, they might have been saved. But because they consistently and continually reject truth, the only recourse is to be sidelined by the lies they do accept and see as truth.

Satan has never stopped lying and he exists to create havoc and change through lies. This is why he is referred to as the “father of lies.”

You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. (John 8:44 NKJV)

The above text is quoting Jesus as He argued with the Pharisees. He essentially calls them children of the devil. They wanted to kill Jesus (and eventually succeeded in God’s time), and basically did what their “father” Satan did. Satan lied; they lied. Satan murdered; they murdered. Jesus then says that Satan is not just a liar, but he is the father of lies. He’s the being who began the process of lying and taught human beings through the fallen nature how to lie. It’s what many do by default and it’s what many embrace because of of itching ears.

When we see lies taking hold in society, to the degree with which lies are taking hold now, we know that the end is coming. In this article, we’ve simply noted a few of the more well known lies that have infiltrated and are changing society. All of these examples of lies represent the growing mystery of iniquity.

Do you see what has been happening in society? Coronavirus hit and it was recommended that people wear masks, stay at least six feet apart, stop shaking hands, no hugging, etc. Anyone who didn’t wear a mask was instantly seen as “selfish” or “unloving.” Dr. Fauci said recently that it’s largely “symbolic,” and the WHO just stated that there is no real need to wear a mask unless dealing with someone who actually has Coronavirus. But see how “peer pressure” forced many to wear masks because they did not want to be ostracized by others?

The lies that built AntiFa, BLM, Climate Change and others are also severely damaging society. All of these things are due to the mystery of iniquity that has literally gone “viral.” Up is down. Right is wrong. Wrong is right. This is what has been happening in society and shows no sign of fading. If anything, it will get worse.
