A number of people have already commented on the situation in the Middle East. I’ve deliberately waited for several reasons. First, I don’t like to post things over the weekend. Second, it’s always better to wait until the dust settles a bit so things are seen more clearly.

As most are aware, Hamas, a terrorist group in the Middle East, attacked Israel nearly 50 years to the day of the Yom Kippur war and did so on the Sabbath. This also occurred at the start of the so-called Six-Day War, when attacks to Israel began on the Sabbath. Jesus warned about things happening on the Sabbath in His Olivet Discourse of Matthew 24.

There are numerous serious problems with this attack, aside from the attack itself. It appears that terrorist members of Hamas rode into Israel on motorcycles, small one-man piloted gyro-copters and/or simply waltzed into Israel through the normally heavily defended border between Gaza and Israel.

It also appears the terrorists had ample time (roughly two hour or so), to inflict as much damage as possible, killing non-combatants enjoying a musical festival, breaking into Israeli homes and either massacring Jews there or taken them hostage to use as bargaining chips later.

Women were raped, tortured and killed. Men were brutally killed. Children were either killed outright or kidnapped and are currently being held in cages by Hamas.

Throughout the world, groups of Muslims and Muslim sympathizers have been celebrating with the usual praise of “Allahu Akbar” on their lips as though their god has given them a great victory. The trouble is that Israel – though in this case, her response has been slow – will not only stem the tide but make up for the Hamas onslaught. In all likelihood Israel will completely level everything in Gaza.

Rumors have it that Iran trained Hamas, though Iran denies those rumors. Other rumors indicate that Ukraine – the recipient of massive US arms – either gave or sold many of those arms to Hamas. Zelenskyy has come out to publicly support Israel. So has the Biden Administration, but in reality this is all a public face as the Biden Administration just recently released $6 billion to Iran.

Can we actually know what is happening in the Middle East? I don’t think so. While some are saying this is the start of the Northern Invasion (Ezekiel 38-39), that cannot be correct since there has not been any overt reaction from God as described in the opening verses of those two chapters. While there have been several severe earthquakes, the one described in Ezekiel has not occurred.

Investigative journalist Leo Hohmann has a unique perspective on the situation. [1] I would encourage readers to read through his article. I would tend to agree with him that things are deliberately being ramped up toward a full-scale, global world war that may well include nuclear armaments.

Hohmann has some of the same questions I have regarding Israel’s Mossad. Where were they? Why the no to slow response? How could they not be aware of potential attacks, given that it was almost exactly 50 years since the Yom Kippur war? How is it that Mossad and Israeli intelligence in general, seemed to have no inkling whatsoever that terrorists were on the verge of attack? It is just too difficult to believe, frankly.

Some are calling this Israel’s “9/11” that gave them the perfect reason to come down full force on Hamas and related terrorist groups. Did Mossad call for a “stand down” so that terrorists would have their way at first? If so, then the deaths of Israelis and others are the responsibility of those who knew of the attack and deliberately did nothing in order to make the slaughter unequivocally clear to the world that terrorists are animals.

At the music festival on the Israeli side, terrorists can be seen chasing fleeing people and gunning them down as if they were simply having target practice. Videos of Israelis in their homes are shown cowering in fear with terrorists standing by holding them at gunpoint. It is very clear that no one in Israel was expecting or prepared for this onslaught.

Whatever the mainstream media chooses to show viewers, we can bet it’s carefully chosen to conform to their brand of propaganda. In essence, the world is being played. It is a power grab by globalists like Schwab to keep the world in a constant state of flux and fear?

I’ll remind readers that under Trump, there were NO new wars and he even got our troops out of some locations in the world. The Democrats, who used to be the party of peace have morphed into the war party, with many to most Republicans urging them on and watching their backs.

Nearly every Republican candidate running for president has come out and supported the USA’s involvement in Ukraine and will now support all efforts to get behind Israel. This is the public face but we really do not know what is occurring behind the scenes, do we?

We can be guaranteed that the price of oil will increase (as it already has), because of this war. Other things will increase as well and the picture I have in my mind is one where globalists stand far back watching the destruction that they may well have a hand in creating, all so that they can further enrich themselves in the spoils of war. Peace does not create profits. In fact, health does not create profits either for pharma. In both cases, fear of war/death/destruction is what creates profits.

I still recall years ago in 7th grade social studies class, our teacher told us that one of the ways to extricate an economy from recession or depression was to go to war. He didn’t put it like that, but the implication was clear. War makes money for people who are invested in it the same way profits come to those in the “health” industry who invest in vaccines. It’s all about the dollars earned.

This is NOT to say that God doesn’t have control of the situation because He certainly does, either by allowing things to occur or directing them to occur. The problem is that we do not know exactly all the facts that took place behind the scenes to create this particular situation in the Middle East.

If things go as many say they are going, it’s possible that Hamas, the Taliban and other terrorist groups operating in the Middle East will be completely destroyed. I doubt seriously that Gaza will be livable when all the shelling stops. Israel is involved in what it considers to be an all-out war and I doubt they will stop until they have completed their mission of total destruction.

Who knows, but this could also end with the destruction of the mosques on the Temple Mount. I realize that’s a stretch, but several commentators are saying this began because of Muslim concerns that Jews and Christians were “desecrating” the area of the Temple Mount, which Muslims refer to as “Al Aqsa,” even though only one mosque there has that name. That area is considered the third holiest Islamic site in the world so Muslims believe it must be protected at all costs.

Days prior to the attack, Muslims were very concerned about the Al Aqsa Temple Mount being desecrated by non-Muslims and they believed it to be intentional. Whatever the reason for the latest attack, it is likely due to the radicalized attitude of Muslims in the Middle East.

By the way, as Hohmann points out, Muslims have relocated throughout the world into parts of the EU as well as the United States. What this means is that there are very likely what are known as “sleeper cells” of terrorists in the USA. They will “wake up” and do what they are here to do when the time is right and when they receive their directive. We can blame this on Obama, Biden and other Leftwing operatives who long ago sold out the USA for money. So-called “immigration” policies that has allowed a completely open border have been the invite needed to bring terrorists into America, not only from Islamic countries but from countries like China.

My guess is that globalists want/need a full-on global war that will keep everyone on edge and in fear. People who are in fear are easy to control. Realizing this can certainly offset the type of fear that they want to engender with these types of situations. This does not mean that people are not being tortured, raped and killed. It certainly does mean that but when we realize what course the globalists may have chosen in order that they can capture more of the world, we can choose not to be part of that.

All we can do is keep a level head, be aware of our surroundings and trust the Lord for His provision. He warned us that these days would bring terrible times and He warned us through Christ’s words in Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21, as well as through the apostles Paul and Peter, as well as others. We should not be alarmed when we see these things take place because we have been previously warned.

It’s important to be in His Word and in communion with Him. I’m confident He will guide and provide strength, wisdom and discernment through these days but of course, we must come to Him and confess our inability to see most things and to have the strength within ourselves to do what He would have us do.

Whatever occurs in the Middle East, we need to remember that either God has allowed it or is directing it. In either case, the ultimate purposes are to bring Him glory. Pray for those in harm’s way. Pray that – if He sees fit – He will somehow bring resolution to this growing conflict. May many come to know Him as Father, God and Savior because of this situation – Jews and Gentiles alike!
