Emotional Virtue Equals Exalting Self

The interesting thing about so-called “virtue signalling” or emotional virtue is that it really gives way to the exaltation of Self. During COVID, people were guilted into wearing masks and taking an experimental genetic altering jab. We were told if we really loved others we would do all we could to “keep them safe.” That meant wearing a face diaper that created all sorts of health problems for people (but we didn’t know that at the time necessarily), and didn’t work one iota in keeping other people safe.

I still recall going into big box stores a few years ago to hear the constant public service announcements about “your masks helps me and my mask helps you” propaganda that was intended to make people feel guilty and without love if they chose to breathe freely. Everywhere you went, there were constant reminders that truly loving others meant sacrificing the percentage of oxygen you breathed, not to mention a rebreathing exhaled CO2.

Virtue signalling is what has literally taken over most aspects of society. We are propagandized into wearing certain things, accepting medical services that we might not want and see no real need for as well as many other things. All of these things together have created a society that has absolutely no idea what actual true love and concern for our neighbors is all about, but most do it anyway because at its root is a very self-centered motivation. In essence, that’s all that’s left when we realize that masks did nothing. Lockdowns did nothing. The jab did not eradicate C19 as promised. In fact, these things created far more problems than they helped eliminate because of their very nature.

Within this same global society where virtue signalling is used to implement draconian mandates, it also extends to other areas of growing permissiveness throughout society. Transgenderism is now a big thing and anyone who speaks out against it or pushes back is seen as transphobic or bigoted. The Left (Marxism) has done a huge disservice to the entire world by changing and replacing mores with new ones that people are not allowed to rationally debate. I read two sorority girls were ousted from their sorority because they wanted only biological women to be allowed in. The idea that a man can be a woman and even have menstrual cycles and give birth is abysmally ridiculous, but I wax transphobic apparently.

I often wonder what Jesus would do in many of these situations? Would He have worn a face diaper? Would He have gotten the jab? I cannot imagine it, especially with the information that constantly comes to the surface about how bad the jab truly is for many. I was just reading this morning that the incidents of “mayday” calls from airlines in flight have risen 386% in just 2023. Why is that? Gee, no one seems to know. The experts scratch their heads. It couldn’t have anything to do with a genetic-modifying jab could it? No, that couldn’t possibly be it. Must be something else.

Why are so many people suddenly dying – very young, young, older and oldest? Why are they dropping dead suddenly for no apparent reason? Why are those in positions of authority telling us it’s all due to “climate change” or laughing too much or exercising too much or something else, when in reality, they should be studying the effects of the jab.

Some medical doctors and researchers are doing their best to warn us of the dangers of the genetic-modifying jab and how that jab is putting lipid nanotechnology into a person’s body that self-assembles seemingly self-aware microbes with lights. These medical people are usually censored. Those self-assembling microbes often eventually create rubbery materials in the bloodstream that further create blood clots. These blood clots often maim or kill people. Then there’s “shedding” which is a real concern for the unjabbed.

The world has officially passed the Rubicon and won’t be going back and has done so through massive censorship. The federal government apparently leads the way in that censorship, according to recent numerous congressional reports.

Truth is verboten now. It reminds me of the many situations throughout the Old Testament where God would raise prophets to send Israel His warnings and message. Most of the time those warnings and messages were completely ignored. Why? Because people were more likely to follow their “hearts” or feelings, which is what people do today under the guise of virtue signalling.

We have largely become a society living by feeling now. Life is viewed through the lens of emotion totally catering to Self. This does not mean we cannot experience feelings and appreciate them, clearly. It does mean, however, that decisions made based on how we feel about something are pointless because our feelings are not meant to be accurate barometers of truth or falsehood.

All of this belongs in the New Age. There, you will find multitudes of people who go by feelings, who believe Gaia speaks to them and whatever Gaia tells them is their truth because it simply resonates within them. Doesn’t matter if it is true or not in actuality. If it feels true, then it is true to most people today.

There is only one actual truth and it is found in God and His Word. Virtue signalling is an emotional way around the truth allowing the person to believe they have the truth when they don’t.

Think back and understand that masks did not work…at all. The jab was promised to end the pandemic. It didn’t but let’s not forget people like Fauci, Biden and others swore to us that those getting the jab would not get CV or transmit it to others; both of which turned out to be patently false. I can excuse Biden since he’s suffering from some degree of dementia and simply says what’s on the teleprompter in front of him. But Fauci and others within the medical field? They have no excuse and the fact that they got this wrong should take away their “expert” card.

I pointed out a few articles to my wife this morning that appeared in my email box. One of them was about Sabrina Carpenter (Disney) whose latest music video was filmed in a Catholic Church in NYC, complete with blasphemy occurring in the video. Another article talked of high profile German transgender singer Petras who advocates that gay people should literally have sexual relations at his (her) concerts; concerts that allow children as young as eight to attend.

A few more headlines were shared and I said, “We have crossed the Rubicon because of emotional virtue/virtue signalling and there’s no going back.” The genie is completely out of the bottle. The world’s depravity is coming out in full view and this is while the Restrainer (Holy Spirit), still restrains. I cannot imagine what the world will look like when the Restrainer moves out of the way.

People have become so enamored with emotional virtual that allows them to feel good about Self within them that they don’t even realize they are ultimately worshiping Self. Self is so deceptive that it create worship for itself all the while making a person believe they are actually loving others. No, they are actually involved with Self-love, making them feel the warm glow of emotion.

It’s all about Self today. Every bit of it. This is one other reason why truly committed Christians will stand out more and more like sore thumbs. Our love for God compels us to live lives that please and glorify Him by denying Self. Our commitment to Him pushes us to do what is right regardless of whether or not the world sees it that way. Remember Lot? Remember Noah? Because the world doesn’t see agree, they push back big time. Things will get much, much worse. Expect it. Are you ready for that?

I’ve been reading numerous articles on just how bad things are going to get with respect to weather, economies and inflation from other Christians. Iceland last week experienced over 1400 earthquakes because of seismic and volcanic activity under the surface. Mt. Etna in Italy appears to be getting ready to blow again as well. Beyond this, apparently the middle of the USA is experiencing a terrible drought which is in danger of leaving many areas without well water. The middle of this country is the USA’s bread basket and of course, if food cannot be grown, this country will suffer and need to rely on foreign countries.

I’ve also been reading all about how bad things are going to get with massive layoffs, inflation, digital dollars and digital imprisonment, and so much more. But one thing I have not been reading about too much (except here and there), is the fact that immorality in all its forms, is severely increasing. It is becoming very noticeable and palpable. I’m more concerned about that than the other things because it speaks to people’s character and morality. Paul warned us in 2 Timothy 3:1-5. We are starting to see it lived out.

Just driving into the airport last night to pick up my wife reminded me that I’m very glad we live in the country in a small community. Here, people know each other. They watch out for one another and our church is just several minutes away filled with a group of people who truly love the Lord and want to grow in His strength, love and service. They desire to stand against the evil tide throughout this world that’s raising its ugly head.

We have arrived to a time in society when everyone does as he/she thinks is good. Absolute morality is gone, replaced with a type of virtuous morality that allows everyone to do as they will; to do whatever they think is good in their own eyes.

Yesterday I noted several videos of groups of people rushing into stores and hauling off as much merchandise as they could haul. They simply didn’t care and will steal whatever they can. Another tragic video that’s made the rounds has to do with a gang of violent people who jumped a 15 year-old boy, ultimately killing him. It apparently involved harassment and theft in school and an agreed on “let’s duke it out after school” scenario. So the two guys gathered off school grounds in an alley. As soon as they came to blows, the one person’s friends all ganged up on the 15 year-old. They knocked him to the ground, kicked and stomped him until he was beyond unconsciousness. People passing by found him just laying on the ground. Paramedics came and did what they could for his serious injuries – blunt force trauma – but he died at the hospital.

When I was a kid, there were unwritten laws that if two people fought, you let them fight it out until one quit. Thanks to hip hop and rappers, that’s no longer the case. Everyone is supposed to jump into the fray to fight one person. This fight resulted in murder and eight of the 10 suspects have been arrested. They’re all juveniles but will be charged as adults. This tragedy is becoming too normal in America now.

As I said, what concerns me more than the economy, the weather, inflation and everything else is simply the abject lack of pity, remorse and morality that signals that our society has gone too far to return. I don’t expect a return to the previous morality or normalcy. It’s gone.

Virtue signalling exalts Self. This will only change when Jesus physically returns to earth, judges the nations and sets up His Millennial Kingdom. In the meantime, don’t allow your love for the lost to grow cold. God is still with us, providing strength to fulfill His will.
