Passport To The Cosmos

In this book we are offered a new view, a new way of understanding our place in the cosmos. Mack firmly propagates that we are indeed not alone, our universe is overflowing with intelligent lifeforms, although some may perhaps not always be as solid-bodied as we’re used to.

Part one deals mainly with the methodology adopted to conduct research, as well as presenting details of some of the more interesting cases that Mack investigated. One such proceeding happened in Zimbabwe in 1994 at a school, where it was said that over 60 children witnessed many UFO’s and one or more strange beings in the school yard during morning recess. The author interviewed many of the child witnesses as well as the headteacher of the school and reports that their individual recollections of the event were identical. Some of the children even displayed a real fear when discussing the sighting. This is only one of many astonishing cases that, I’m certain, will leave you gob-smacked.

The rest of this publication deals with various theories Mack disseminated, and even delves into the beliefs of ancient cultures, regarding visitors from outer space. It is towards the end of the book that the great and wise Credo Mutwa is allocated a substantial biography and review. To me, Mutwa is one of the most intriguing men alive today. Not only is he by far the best educated and most eloquent African sangoma (medicine man) gracing our current plane of existence, he is also a bearer of true knowledge, something bestowed upon him by hundreds of now deceased master Zulu shaman.

Mack visited Credo Mutwa whilst in South Africa in 1994 and he details his encounters and conversations thoroughly. I firmly get the impression that John was affected deeply by his warm encounter with Mutwa, this is shown extensively in his very positive and fair assessment of the man.

Sadly, On Monday, September 27 2004, while in London lecturing at a T. E. Lawrence Society-sponsored conference, Mack was killed by a drunken driver. He was walking home alone, after a dinner with friends, when he was struck at 11:25 p.m, he lost consciousness at the scene of the accident and was pronounced dead shortly thereafter. Such a sad loss of such a great mind.

I loved this book and although John’s scientific writing style may present challenges to some readers, I feel that it is definitely worthy of your time. The theories, conclusions and even research methods Mack produced are truly revolutionary. He has opened my eyes to a whole new level of consciousness possibilities and I think that if you are investigating UFO’s or aliens and you have not read Mack’s work, you are seriously missing a major puzzle piece.
