Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam an Indian scientist and administrator who served India as its 11th President from 2002-2007. Before serving the nation as a President he worked with Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) and Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) as an Aerospace engineer. He is also popular among people as the Missile Man Of India because he was the one to bring advancement in ballistic missile and launch vehicle development. APJ Abdul Kalam has also played an important role in India’s Pokran -II nuclear test conducted in 1998.

A Sivathanu Pillai is the chief controller of Research and Development and is also ranked as on eof the “Distinguished Scientists” at the DRDO at the Ministry of Defence of India. A. S. Pillai is also the co-founder, CEO and MD of BrahMos Aerospace Private Limited. Currently he is working as the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the National Institute of Technology, Kurkushetra. He has been awarded with Order of Merit of Russia by the President of Russia and Padma Bhushan by the President of India in 2013. He also received Padma Shri in 2002.
