I Haz News!

Wow – I have just been the worst blogger! It’s been nearly two weeks since my last post. The sad thing is, there is not a day that goes by that I don’t think of something I want to blog about…
it just never makes it to an actual post!

I blame the time of year. Graduations x 2, planning for the Teen’s big exodus to Europe. All that jazz….

But, I wanted to jump on today to tell you all about a little news. Some of you may have heard this on my social media sites, but in case you didn’t, here’s my update.

First, on the fiction front, COLLIDE, my YA paranormal spy thriller comes out next month. Yep, I finally have another book coming out. (’bout time, right!). In case you haven’t heard about Collide, here’s the scoop:

The most dangerous secrets are the ones that kill.When a surprising mental breakdown draws too much attention from a secret government group call the Order, 17-year-old Dakota discovers that her so-called boring life isn’t so boring after all. Exciting right? I am super excited to release this to all of you at the end of June!

After that, I have two more stories planned for this year at some point (with luck and a very productive summer!)

On the Non-Fiction front, I am in the middle of completing the research for my upcoming book for parents about social anxiety in children, tentatively titled More Than Worry. This book focuses on the impact of anxiety, especially social anxiety, on academic performance, peer relationships and daily functioning. There is STILL TIME to contribute a question or a story. Just complete THIS FORM and I’ll be in touch SOON.

If you’ve already completed the form earlier this year, expect emails in the next few weeks. MORE THAN WORRY comes out Spring of 2015 along with ANOTHER nonfiction book – my still untitled book of social/emotional curriculum that can be used in schools and is consistent with both Common Core standards AND the affective curriculum guidelines suggested by NAGC.
