LAW Gallery of the Liberalism Art World from the artist An Idiot opens in St. Moritz
Vilafranca del Penedes, Barcelona (beforeitsnews) November 25, 2016 – The LAW Gallery St. Moritz is opening as an additional component of the Liberalism Art World of the anonymous artist An Idiot, to which the Museum of Liberalism in Art (MOLA) with attached LAW Gallery in Barcelona also belongs. The opening of the Swiss gallery will take place on December 1, 2016, just one week after the MOLA pre-opening in Barcelona (November 24, 2016). The LAW Gallery in St. Moritz will permanently show the LIBERALISM X work of art, made up of several hundred individual images, which strive to be a symbol of creative-variable Liberalism in various stylistic directions. The work covers 27 m² and is spread out in the gallery from the floor onto the walls up and onto the ceiling. Collectors and interested parties can purchase individual pieces or the complete work of art, with prices ranging from 1,100 CHF to 1 million CHF for the entire work. The free spaces resulting from sales will be refilled with newly developed art styles by An Idiot. In this way, collectors are involved in the development of the wealth of variety. Another part of LIBERALISM X can also be seen in the MOLA in Barcelona.
LIBERALISM X is the premiere of a DIVIDIPLE, invented by An Idiot, which in contrast to a limited edition object, i.e. a multiple, doesn’t multiply art, but instead divides art and is composed of unique pieces.
Like all of the artist’s works, also the paintings shown in the LAW Gallery are the result of the digital-analog Liberalism technique, in which canvas, paper, or other media are painted in various art styles via tablet – from wafer-thin graffiti over dripping up to finger thick. The MOLA in Barcelona, which opens a week before the LAW Gallery St. Moritz, is showing numerous large-size exhibits by An Idiot across 3,400 m². Thematically divided into sections, the ground floor is the sunny side of life and the basement to its dark side. Within the Africanism Gallery, An Idiot gives African tribal art variability of interpretation by placing it in a new context. Another building block of “Liberalism Art World” is the art project “Cliff With A View,” in which a cliff on the Portuguese Silver Coast is declared to be art and preserved from development.
