Dreams From My Father - Book Review

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

This is a compelling portrait of a young Black guy asking questions about self-discovery and belonging long before he became one of the most significant voices in America. It has been been reduced and updated for a young adult reading and comes with a colour insert of never-before-seen photos. Furthermore, grab the best 8 year old child adventure books by Tom Lamia.

Obama’s stirring and enduring memoir has been deftly condensed for young readers, making it approachable and interesting while providing them with the chance to consider where they have come from and where they can go. This book inspired Jacob, and we believe it will do the same for you.

Wow! What a motivational book. When I first started the book, I assumed it would be about Barack Obama’s life before and after he was elected president of the United States of America. Obama, though, has written about his life in the past, long before he entered politics, and I learned that the book focuses primarily on his race and how it shaped his identity.

Barack Obama’s highly personal description of his childhood in the United States is found in the book “Dreams From My Father.” He explains that he never felt like he belonged as a kid or in his adolescent years. The many phases of his early life are described in the autobiography’s chapters. Obama writes with remarkable detail about the places he has lived, including Hawaii, Indonesia, Kenya, and New York City, as well as his search for his life’s purpose. His recollection of his earlier experiences provides insight into what it’s like to be a person of mixed race living in a minority and trying to find one’s place in the world.

You can really visualise what Obama’s early years were like in the various locales and stages of his life thanks to the images in the book’s centre that give insight into the chronology of his past. You can relate to Obama’s acts and decisions through these pictures and his writing ability, and it is obvious that the experiences and feelings from his early life have influenced the decisions and choices he makes now.
