U.S. Air Force Child Development Centers provide part day and all day child care, education and active learning programs for children up to 5 years of age. Each base or field has its own Force Support Squadron which manage CDC resources and administration.

The Challenge

One of the services offered by the US Air Force to military and civilian contractors’ families is child care.  This includes full and part-time daycare, enrichment programs and overnight care. The CDC will loan books, toys and other items to the Air Force families as needed. Such resources are free for families to use but costly to maintain and difficult to manage. Before getting help from Dynamic Systems the loss of many of these lent items was very common. CDC employees did not know who had borrowed items, for how long an item had been out and when an item was due to return.

The Solution
