Vembu Announces FileShare v2.1.0

LAN Sync:

This feature allows users to sync and share experiences in LAN environments; enhances speed and saves a huge amount of bandwidth by syncing files locally. Files can be synced in a matter of seconds from a single machine to multiple machines within the same network. Vembu FileShare enables the LAN sync feature by default but it can be disabled by unchecking the option in the Preference window.

Tray Enhancements for Windows and Mac clients:

The enhanced tray icon allows users to monitor sync status, view a list of recently added files and option to enable/disable multiple features as explained below.

• Recently modified files in Tray:

Newly added files or modified files can be displayed in tray by right clicking over it. Images are displayed as thumbnails. You can create links from recently modified lists and share them with other users via email or other social media accounts.

• Preference window:

The Preference window shows the current status of uploading files, syncs in progress and total file count along with the last successful sync time. The general tab provides settings to enable startup options and  desktop notifications.

• Change Sync Location:

This is a neat feature that moves a sync location to different folders when the current sync location is full.

Track Share Link Access:

Track Share Link Access is one of the best features which allows you to track a shared link to the user. Every time a shared link or content is accessed, it is captured in the activity log along with the public IP from which the link was accessed.

Unlimited version retention for files:

Vembu Fileshare v2.1.0 now allows unlimited version retention for files giving users unlimited version history. All file revisions are saved for as long as the business subscription is active.
