National conference for awareness on changes in Companies Act 2013

Kolkata,  (KNN) West Bengal will be hosting a national conference with an objective to make the industry aware of the relevant changes in Companies Act 2013 and how they are expected to adhere to the laid down compliance.

Conference on “Companies Act 2013 – Spotlight on Salient Features and Recent Developments” is being organised by the apex industry body Associated Chambers of Commerce & Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) and Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs on April 24.

Companies Act 2013 has been instrumental in bringing significant changes in the way the businesses used to handle various facades of compliance.

Director General and CEO of IICA, Bhaskar Chatterjee will inaugurate the programme.

Topics to be covered in the technical session of the conference include new procedure for related party transactions; proposed amendments bill 2014 – salient feature; enhanced disclosure norms; corporate social responsibility; governance, risk and compliances- new approach; directors and independent directors; women directors- roles and responsibilities; auditors, accounting standards and shareholder’s empowerment and minority rights.
