Aside from the fundamental history of the economic doctrine, Keynesian-style “capitalist” societies such as those within the European Union, those within NAFTA, etc., have been utilized as exemplary pawns in a biggger game to overthrow what has founded our great nation – the idea of individualism. The anti-corporatist left sees socialism as the one way which will fix corporate greed, but no one in this crowd realizes that socialism equates to Keynesian economic policy, and that is exactly what has gotten us into this corporate mess in the first place. Inside of this anti-corporatist left-wing sentiment is a basic ignorance of the presence the anti-corporatist right-wingers have in today’s political world; we all want the same goal, but in order to achieive it, how can one argue that to break monopolies, the best way is to keep growing the biggest monopoly ever existed – the U.S. government?
