Six Ways to Use Copters in Business Purposes

In the 20th century, quadrocopters were something of a novelty. Having four rotors and being capable of lifting off and hovering above the ground, one of the first drones was designed and tested in 1922. However, this invention was ill-timed, because the mechanisms allowing the aircraft to steadily float in the air were developed much later. It wasn’t until the 21st century that the use of drones began to gain real momentum.

In case you need to write an essay about drones and how they’ve developed over the centuries, you can always use custom writing help. Doing so will save you both time and effort.

Depending on their size and software, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) may have multiple functions. The largest and most sophisticated drones can be used for military purposes – they are equipped with fixed wings and require short runways. Also, some copters are suitable for geographic surveying, anti-poaching, and predicting the weather. Smaller UAVs typically take-off and land vertically. Very small models can be launched from the palm of one’s hand.

First, drones were used for the filming of weddings and Hollywood movies. Later on, increasingly more people began to see the potential of these small flying devices. Quadrocopters began to be used for delivering packages, pizza, and blood for transfusion. They were also employed for detecting fires, and even for taking mucus of whales. Thanks to drones, travelers can now explore new cultures and exotic countries.

In the industrial sector, drones are used to audit enterprises and check stock in automotive plants’ warehouses. Quadrocopters assist in monitoring geographically extended objects, such as gas pipelines, electricity networks, railways, etc. In construction, these devices can create a three-dimensional model of a construction site and track all changes happening on it.

Unfortunately, quite a few business people still do not fully appreciate the benefits of drones. Until they test this technology, they consider these flying apparatus another technological innovation. The more the drone market develops, the more interesting uses for them are suggested. Perhaps, you will find some of them complicated or non-marketable. Anyway, the below list will give you some idea of how to use drones commercially.

1.Professional Photography

Previously, you’d need to rent a helicopter to enjoy a birds-eye view of your city. Copters make this task noticeably simpler. Photographers from different countries strive to take amazing pictures by using drones. They then post some of their best photos on Dronestagram, a web resource dedicated to quadrocopter photography, or showcase them at the International Drone Photography Contest, an annually held event where people from all over the world can enjoy fascinating views of our planet taken with the help of copters.

2. Show Business and Fashion

Artists and musicians often use copters for their shows. During CES-2016 hundreds of quadrocopters with LED lights were flying in sync with the music. This tandem of art and technology was so impressive that the performance was included in the Guinness Book of Records. Disney Company used drones looking like puppets in their unforgettable shows. In fact, some top fashion models are getting increasingly concerned that drones can make them lose their jobs. Drones were used during a Dolce & Gabbana presentation that took place during the Fashion Week in Milan in February 2018. Flying copters demonstrated a new collection of bags created by this fashion house. The public met them with an ovation and photographers never stopped taking pictures.

3. Courier Service

Many large trading and delivering companies are seriously considering investing in the development of UAVs capable of delivering packages, mail, medicines, and food. For that, Domino’s Pizza ordered the so-called “in-house copters.” The first pizza was delivered in New Zealand in 2016. Now, the company plans to expand its business in other countries. La Poste, the French state post, has already launched a delivery project, while Swiss and Finnish postal services are now testing special transport drones. At present, drones used by the Chinese state post carry more than 500 packages per day. Google has already tested a copter-based delivery service, whereas trading giants like Amazon and Walmart have recently announced the launch of such a service.

4. Agriculture

The work of farmers is very hard, but their life can become a lot easier thanks to drones which can monitor their crops. The idea behind is to use drones for creating three-dimensional maps. Accurate data on the land condition, topography, and boundaries ensure a good crop and bigger profits. Based on the data obtained from drones, it is possible to plot routes for vehicles and calculate the required amount of seed, fuel, etc. Phantom drones produced by DJI Company can operate in adverse weather conditions and fly around obstacles in their way. Thanks to these UAVs, farmers can quickly find stray animals, control irrigation, apply fertilizers and pesticides, and monitor infected crops.

5. Real Estate

Many agencies that work in this field are exploring an opportunity to provide their clients with virtual tours in and around buildings. Using drones with cameras, they can create stunning pictures of property for sale. In addition, their clients can see the roof condition, as well as inspect the adjacent roads and playing grounds for children. Expensive models of drones have up to six GoPro cameras and are capable of providing clients with a 360-degree panoramic view.

6. Restaurants

The Wokker, a Chinese food restaurant, uses quadrocopters to advertise their drinks and dishes. In New York, London, and other cities, a dozen of UAVs fly around business centers and invite office staff for lunch. That’s much more effective and less annoying than handing people leaflets. Drones also work as waiters in London’s Yo Sushi restaurant. Here, remotely controlled copters deliver orders directly to the tables.

Because they can perform multiple tasks, UAVs can be used in a number of businesses. To increase their profits, large companies are investing in new models of drones with better functionality. However, banning drones or making their registration complicated by governments of different countries can be a major obstacle to the introduction of this technology in business.
