Prevent exposure to excessive heat for at least 2 hours after stepping outside. This is also suggested after multiple heavy workouts, showers, baths and when taking long walks.
This also applies to removing bulky outer layers before exercising.
We do not recommend keeping outdoor grills stationary for more than 30 minutes. Too much heat from a grill can damage the grill grates / linings and lead to fire. Also, keep rubbish where it can burn away and do not leave food out for too long as cooking food in a pan under the heat of the sun can result in food contamination. A BBQ or smoker should be used for cooking and consuming food not consumed in its raw state directly within the firebox.
Carpenters use many fires during the winter months in their construction. In the event of prolonged high heat, it can lead to a structural collapse due to overheating. Therefore, keep furnaces and kettles cool and extinguished so as not to risk an overheated fire.
Keep clear of woodstoves, charcoal grills and pellet stoves this winter. While charcoal is smelly and cannot be cleaned, woodstoves may seem more practical but do not provide that much heat. Pellets are the same as with wooden stoves, only bigger, and do not provide much heat anyway.
Handling pet dander is not recommended this winter, and any exposed skin should be washed or sprinkled with a natural allergen spray such as almond oil.
Winter is a great time to plan on gathering with friends and family, but it should not be your priority. In other words, if you smoke during the summer, stop doing it. Skipping the winter months is the best way to ensure clear skin, hair and overall prevention of infections.
As you take stock, take the time to plan how you are going to stay warm and eat well throughout the winter. Bring the right supplies your way.

The easy answer as to why you should keep your heaters turned on all the time is: it’s cleaner, healthier, and most importantly, safer. With more people staying at home, there is probably less opportunity to get sick. This means that your home is less likely to harbor unpleasant smells or smoke and better for the environment. According to Stephen King, cleaning your home warm from the inside out can deliver many significant perks, including better air quality and increased energy efficiency. Turn on your heat as soon as you get home so that you and your family thrive. If you forget to turn your heat down, leave it turned completely off for several hours to allow the heat to circulate.
Most people in decorum do not do their own hair. They keep a hairdryer near their bed or hair dryer in a small drawer. Make sure you wash your hair properly each and every time. Regardless of whether it is cool or hot out, do not bring your hair inside too. It is not only gross but can spread the H.I.S. (human immunodeficiency virus). A proper hair care routine is very important as it not only cleans the hair but can also help prevent dandruff.
Do not hang your hair up or wear it down during the winter. This is especially important in bathrooms and closets and is a common cause of spreading virus and consider a fire extinguisher service and maintenance.
Woolens should be hung to dry rather than hung up.

Safely restraining pets will ensure that they remain safe during winter and allow them to better exercise. Preventing smoke damage from pets also contributes to their safety. It will not be socially acceptable to allow your pet to wander free, in the warmth, in the general vicinity of your other living beings. Therefore, being able to leash your pet down allows you to better control their speed and activity. So, if you have a dog or cat that you would like to keep on a leash, or who you would like to socialize, you’ll need to keep a close eye on them, and consider one of these stylish cat restraints.
Though it may seem scary the thought of venturing outdoors during the cold winter months, keeping your house warm enough, walking around outside in the winter, and ensuring that it’s always well ventilated enough, will undoubtedly contribute to the good health of your inhabitants.
A source of heat comes from being outdoors, in the sun, in general, and will last much longer than your central heating or heating system. Conversely the lack of sunlight, this cold winter, will be a detriment, not an opportunity.
Weber Fire & Safety would like to encourage you all to annually purchase one of our auto starter kits (important if you have a vehicle you may not use regularly). This economical accessory provides a small amount of electricity which is used for starting various items. Additionally, you don’t need to remove and change the oil in your vehicle, once this new accessory is installed youll not need to touch said oil for quite some time anyway.
By having your home well insulated, you will be more able to enjoy all the benefits of moderate to lower temperatures. In doing so, your home and people will be much safer, allowing you to spend your time indoors, and doing household chores in greater comfort and comfort.
You may get tad nervous pretty quickly during winter, especially if you have a significant other looking over your shoulder. Joking around, isolated to a small area however, is generally an excellent way, to reduce anxiety, and make you feel less stressed about your situation during winter. That will prevent you from burning a hole in your pocket in an emergency. When travelling, ensuring your exit routes are already flagged, with some reflective tape is best to help you navigate the complex and icy roads and could make you need a fire alarm systems service.
Winter knots can pose a real danger to emergency services personnel and those attempting to rescue them.
