The main disadvantage of a gym ADU is that you still need to pay for a kitchen to be installed. However, you can use this to your benefit by preparing your healthy workout meals right in your gym! Keep all your pre-workouts, blenders, and other gym food and water necessities right where you need them.

Another disadvantage of a gym ADU is that it will be more expensive than simply converting your basement since you need to pay for construction and meet all the rules and regulations surrounding ADUs. However, if your basement is off-limits due to your family, an ADU is probably your best choice.
