What Happened to Google Search? The Google Search Search Engine Is Dying
As a daily user of the Google Browser, finding the data required can hinge on how the question is phased and the actual words used. This is often a frustrating and time consuming effort, far removed from the original Google search engine of 2000 when answers were literally at your fingertips, no algorithms blocking the view.
This 25 November 2022 video from Enrico Tartatott talks about the software path taken by Google’s creators and where the Google Browser is today with handling the 8.5 billion search requests received daily. It is Tartatott opinion that the giant which shaped the Internet for the last 20 years is being consumed from the inside by SEO, lack of quality information, the emergence of other platforms and no more avenues for growth.

When Google started, the company mission statement was simple and direct: “to organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful.”
In the twenty plus years which follwed, continuous changes to the algorithms and the implemination of numerous key company initiatives, the internal targeting of visitor data for marketing use seems to have left the concept of ‘simple and direct’ in the dust of history.
