Brittany Was Involved in a Few Movies Before Death
Brittany Murphy, death, overdose, movie, actress, drugs
She was working on a romantic comedy and two thriller-type movies before her untimely death, says sources close to the actress. AP said:
Director Michael Feifer said the actress was delightful to work with and dedicated to the project.
“She knew her material, and she was on her game,” he said Tuesday. “She was professional. She was there for me. She was healthy.”
The role required Murphy to sprint through a parking structure and run up and down stairs.
“She’s such a pro and so good at her craft that she could turn it on and off as necessary,” Feifer said. One minute she’d be immersed in a dramatic scene, the next she’d be joking around with the crew or playing with her white Maltese, which often accompanied her on set.
Her final film was called Abandoned, which finished this last summer. Felter was the director and said in a report in People:
There was a moment where she needed to cry, and we were kidding around where she actually said she could cry out of one eye and you just had to pick which eye you wanted. So playing frantic came really easy and playing sweet came really easy.
Murphy left her estate to her mother, sources said. Reported on New York Daily News:
The will leaves the 32-year-old’s estate to her mother, Sharon Murphy, sources told the gossip Web site.
It was not immediately clear if the will had been amended after her marriage to include her screenwriter husband.
