I’m just laughing while I’m crying on the inside because I live in an African country and my country has done so much business with China on construction projects while our economy is still bad. Ah my country is soon gonna be owned by China!

If you want something like this in the form of a book, then I highly recommend Martin Jacques’ “When China Rules the World”. Granted, it was written around 2012 or 2011, but its predictions of China are scary for how on point they were. I give credit to Jake here. When I heard him mention that China has a non-tradeable currency in the video, it caught me off guard because many videos I see about China rarely mention that. If you are really interested in the rise of China, I highly recommend this book.
As a Chinese national living abroad for almost a decade, honestly this video is quite objectively correct. BUT it is pity to see so many westerners don’t understand this nor even believe it. I remember reading about the eventual conflict between U.S. eastward expansion and Chinese westward growth at a very young age. The conflict between the two countries will be the key theme of 21st century. Yet two decades into the invisible “war”, one side hasn’t realized what is going on. Referring back to “Cold War” is not relevant in this case, because it is simply a dramatically different “war” between two now very different countries. There is no right or wrong at this point, but in a few more decades we will see the winner write the history. Also, US also is an active participant in this invisible global warfare. What US does or does not do in this century will determine the outcome of this chess match. Good luck!
