If China is determined, there is no stopping it from taking over Taiwan. Cost is the only question. Probably the best solution for Taiwan is a peace agreement with China that includes paying token taxes to China in exchange for maintaining self rule. That will allow China to save face and open avenues for increased trade and good will. If China can benefit from a peaceful arrangement more than from a hostile takeover, there is a chance to avoid war. The problem: I highly doubt the criminal evil satanic elements controlling the US and it’s vassals, will ever allow or consent to peace between China and Taiwan, especially when they seem so hell-bent on starting WWIII. China too is villainous; I totally get that! But even villains generally act in their own best interests. However, Taiwan could not make peace if they tried, because they can only do so from a position of some strength and deterrence, which will quickly evaporate the moment serious peace is attempted. Taiwan needs the support of America and all allies, to peaceably and gradually pivot away from America’s sphere of influence before a catastrophic clash of empires takes place.
