Stay-at-Home Moms are Just as Valuable as Working Moms

We all have our crosses to bear.  My father only had a 9th grade education, and my mother had only an 8th grade education.  My mom raised seven of us siblings.  She also had terrible health problems including debilitating ulcers.  My father had a gambling problem and lost all of his money before their death.  In fact, I had to pay up to $50K of his gambling debts throughout the years, and that was not in today’s dollars.  In today’s dollars, the total would be many times over that amount.

I have spent my entire life in service to my church, community, professional organizations, etc.  Hence, I received no remuneration for all of that work, which, of course, Hilary Rosen would not consider work because I received no money for that labor.  Spending all of my time in service has kept me away from focusing on making money for the future.  Further, I have used all of my available cash to support family members, on both sides of our marriage, and other friends who, throughout the past 40 years, needed financial support.  We provided that support willingly without any repayment.  Consequently, I am relatively broke today…but life goes on.

We all have our challenges and struggles throughout life. We just need to respect other people’s lives. Hilary Rosen needs to learn that.  Fox News host Greta Van Susteren is a friend of Rosen.  When, Greta was discussing Rosen with Karl Rove on her show on 4/12/12, she made a pathetic attempt to defend Rosen.  Well, needless to say, Karl Rove won and Greta received a firestorm of opposition from stay-at-home moms and husbands who fully understand what housewives go through with all of their daily work, which, of course, Rosen does not consider as real work.

That woman, Rosen, is a wretch of society.  She is an elitist who has no clue as to what real work is all about.  Her alternative lifestyle is so screwed up that anyone who has a lifestyle anything different from hers, she denigrates as being not doing any useful work.  She should be ashamed of herself because of her alternative lifestyle.

We all have our sob stories.  I am grateful that the Romneys have had great financial and other successes.  I am not jealous of them as is Hilary Rosen.  In fact, the Romneys are a great role model for the citizens of our country.  They will be a great First Couple and a Great First Family of our country starting January 20, 2013.  They will be head-and-shoulders better than the present spendthrift occupants of the White House who are owned by George Soros.

In 1990, Romney was asked to return to Bain & Company, which was facing financial collapse.  He was announced as its new CEO in January 1991, but drew only a symbolic salary of $1.00 (http://www.businessinsider.com/blackboard/mitt-romney#ixzz1s4ZAbXWw).  Romney and his wife contributed $1 million to the Olympics, and he donated to charity the $1.4 million in salary and severance payments he received for his three years as president and CEO (http://www.businessinsider.com/blackboard/mitt-romney#ixzz1s4bAThJA).  Regarding pay, I don’t know whether Mitt Romney did the same thing as Governor of Massachusetts, but he should also donate his salary as POTUS to charity.  That would be another great example to set.
