Are you going to Hell? Are you sure?

You are going to live forever whether you know it or not; like it or not. You will live forever in one of two places. These are your only choices. If you reject Jesus Christ, you will live in perpetual hopelessness, fear, pain, sorrow and a depression so heavy it is beyond words to describe. 

Once in Hell, you will know that you didn’t confess your faults to God, the only One who could forgive them and you will be in your sins, replaying your life over and over for eternity.  You will be perfectly aware that you belong there, knowing you were wrong in your life, possibly remembering every time someone told you about God and Jesus Christ and His plan for your redemption.

Hell is dark.  It will be so dark that the darkness will have a heaviness to it, surrounding you, crushing you. You will be assigned your own personal worm that will eat you without consuming you day and night (so to speak) forever and ever and your torment will go up from where you will be in a place that is the farthest distance away from God and Perfection that exists.

It will be hot; so hot that you would beg for someone to dip their finger in cool water to place a drop of it on your tongue. You will thirst. It will be a supernatural thirst because if you experienced such thirst in this world, you would have been dead already 7 times over. It will stink worse than anything you have ever encountered. Brimstone, (Sulfur) death and decay will surround your nostrils and burn your nose inside and out. 

In this life, there is ALWAYS hope. Even for the most destitute of us, there is some degree of hope. To be sentenced to Hell is to be sentenced to an eternity of hopelessness in which there is NO hope and no escape.

I am frightened myself over this description of Hell but it comes from the bible, every bit of it and I KNOW that I won’t be going there and so could you know if you truly repent of your sins.  

Jesus Christ spoke of Hell much more than Heaven because He doesn’t want any of us to go there. He created it for the devil and his angels, not for man. Mankind should be saved from this by breaking down and confessing his sins to God because He made a way for us and He expects us to take it. So many in this age and in this generation will say, “what kind of God would do that to those He created?” They will say this because they are in complete ignorance of who God is and what measures He took to save us from this agony. 

He died in our place for us so that we could be saved from death “O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? 1Corinthians 15:55

He didn’t have to do this. He did it voluntarily. He might just as well have let us all die, every one of us, and go directly to Hell, the same way that any one of us would throw away something that we made – a piece of pottery or a poorly knit sweater – something that wasn’t perfect and that had faults. Thank God that He didn’t do that to mankind!

But Jesus Christ, in His eternal kindness and love for us clothed Himself in the form of a man (necessary in order to die, you see, as God, He couldn’t have died) and came to live among us. That would be like anyone of us who loved an ant colony and tried to save it from a flood that they were unaware was coming. We would scream but they wouldn’t understand. We would have to come as one of them…as an ant and when we were finally able to communicate with them, they would turn against us, beat us, mock and curse us and then torture us to death. 

God did this (only He came much lower) when He came as a man in the flesh yet He didn’t sin and that is how He offered Himself up as a Perfect Sacrifice, without blemish or spot.  What’s more, He would remain God in perfect righteousness even if He didn’t come to save us but let us all die and go to Hell but He did it because He LOVES us and wants us to be saved.  He wants to share His glory – His eternal wonders and all of His Creation (of which there is so very much more that we can’t see than what we can see) He wants to show us things that will create in us such joy, love and praise for Him and He wants to love us back!

One of the big delusions that is told about God in this world is that He is somehow wrong for sending people to Hell or for letting people suffer.  They want to make Him out to be unreasonable instead of trying to see His Righteousness and Perfection. The question then should be why DID God save anyone from Hell (when we so rightly deserve it in the eyes of a Righteous, PERFECT God) rather than how COULD a loving God send anyone to Hell?

Jesus Christ took the sting out of death by Himself and offered Himself as a sacrifice pleasing to God because there must needs be punishment for sin. The one act of obedience to God that Jesus accomplished at the cross is sufficient for saving every man from every sin ever committed. His death and shed blood pays the penalty for your sin and mine and I accepted and do accept that payment because I know that I can’t pay for it myself, in fact I can’t do anything to merit salvation because I have sinned against a Holy and Perfect God and that sin separates me from Him.

You or I can’t do enough to get back into a right relationship with God on our own, that is why He came and gave up His blood and life so that we could live. Now that is what I call LOVE and the greatest offer of all time.

Men will willingly reject it, though. Most will because they love their sin and the things of the world are more important to them than the things of God and they are trusting in the world and what men say about eternity some saying that the spirit is gone at death. They are WRONG. Deception fills this world and especially the deception that mankind uses to describe his eternal state with God. If man truly believed in God, he would be obedient to Him.

But God Himself says that he put a knowledge of Himself in us and has shown every one of us His Majesty and Godhead by the things that are Created. He also says that we are without excuse and if someone doesn’t believe in God it is because God has given them up to their sinful selves and has let them move away from the knowledge of Him. But many have turned away and have then come back like the Prodigal Son and have gotten back into a right relationship with our Father.  It is not too late until you’re dead.

 If you don’t get saved by Jesus’ Free Gift to you and if you choose not to accept it, you will very tragically and permanently descend into a hopeless eternity without Christ to save you from your sins.  And if you don’t believe anything else that I have said, believe this…you DO NOT want to go to this place called Hell. 

So please, don’t delay.  Tomorrow might be too late.  Repent of your sins.  You won’t know until you make that move and get on your knees before the God with whom we all have to do.  Until that time, you and countless others will unfortunately call me crazy and in need of meds. (or many other negative things that people say to me). But when that time comes, I will be guiltless by the blood of Christ and I will have been obedient to His call to spread His Word which can be summed up as easily as this: Please get saved and give your hearts and lives to Jesus Christ by confessing your sins to Him.
